Chroma Hills Texture Pack [128×128]

Chroma Hills is an extremely detailed texture pack which look really great for most types of worlds but primary so for medieval creation maps such as castles and alike. It adds a great combination of realism, cartoon and RPG to the world. There is one disadvantage and that is that the game will load slower on iOS and Android devices. But because it’s an amazing texture pack it’s definitely worth the wait!

iOS / Android (recommended install instructions, for Windows 10, scroll down!):

As this texture pack requires quite a bit of resources I recommend that you first make sure that you got at least 60 MB of free storage on your device.

Also, do realize, that it will most likely take several minutes for the game / a world to load once you’ve got this texture pack installed

  1. Download Resource .McPack (50.49 MB)
  2. Edit an existing world or create a new one
  3. Add the resource pack to the world
  4. Start the world!
  5. If the game crashes then it’s just that world which will be bugged and not the entire game!

Windows 10:

  1. Download Resource .McPack (50.49 MB)
  2. Open Minecraft PE
  3. Settings Global resources > Activate the pack

You can get a .ZIP file for this pack here.

Editor, I need some help. I am on iPhone 6 and every time I apply the texture pack (normally and/or to any specific world) it instantly crashes (normally=instant and unable to reopen app until safety feature Kicks in. to a world= as soon as I tap on the world, no loading screen. I have tried everything (including lowest setttings possible, removing all other global packs, etc) is there anything to do to get this to work? A respond would be very appreciated and helpful. This is by far on of my favorite texture packs in Minecraft, and I really want to be able to use it.

  16. Megee says:

Does this work for IOS iPad Air? Because last time before the update, I couldnt join Minecraft if I downloaded a texture pack. Just wanna check because I dont wanna delete my Minecraft to get it working. Thanks!

  17. WreckitRey says:

Thanks really need to go out to No matter what they are always updating and adding .mcpack files which eliminates searching through other sites which are not up to “code”.
With that being said this pack is amazing. I love it. The detail is awesome and the features on the mobs are awesome and creepy.
They gave a warning about it crashing and that was even awesome. Only the world will be bugged so no wasting time trying to get Minecraft to work afterwards. Just delete the world.
It did not take long for my world to load at all. Actually, it loaded faster than all other files except the Mojang specific files. I have an iPad Pro 12.9in with a ton of apps, pics, vids, and plenty of other Minecraft packs I’ve downloaded. No glitches, no problems at all. Great pack!

textures are awesome ! love it but when using “Jurassic Craft Add-on” Dinosaur textures are messed up totally…. is there anyway to fix this ?
or simply two add ons doesnt really come together and i have to decide which i wanna use more ? haha ( dinosaur textures with original minecraft world textures works perfect.

    • The_Plasma says:

Mixing packs and textures that mix and have different textures for certain blocks or mobs could cause problems with your mcpe. But if the pack does not interfere with the texture then good!

  26. Slanptramt says:

Could you please contact the developer and ask them to reduce the insanely high amount of data that a device will have to load once it is applied to a world. I know this can be fixed (I hate it when people say “fix the lag”, it’s their device) because there was another 128×128 texture pack that I installed which was about 16 mb. I didn’t even have to apply it to a specific world. Everything ran smoothly even combined with shaders. 60mb is just absurd, almost nobody can run that all at once (maybe you can). This isn’t a device problem, this is the texture pack’s problem because it shouldn’t take top of the line equipment to run this texture pack when it can easily run on even garbage, so most people can use this awesome texture pack.

Crashes On iPad Air I Think It’s Not Strong Enough.. Lol 😛

  28. Steve says:

Android tablet loads all textures except doors. Oak & steel are OK, but other doors revert to stock TP. The files show a purple/broken texture. Any ideas?

  29. Childerboyz says:

I couldn’t help but noticing that some of these textures are from the medieval texture pack you can download…

  30. Nightwing says:

Editor I need some help for downloading this texture pack

  31. Gaige says:

Every time I try to add this to a world, as it is building the terrain, it crashes. It’s probably because my iPad doesn’t have a lot of memory left on it.

  34. The_Plasma says:

Editor could you please look for an updated version or ask someone to import a new version from the PC because I love this texture pack and I can’t just have it with missing textures (like evoker , vindicator terracotta, etc). Please me and my friends are begging you to update this because this pack is legendary!

  35. Anonymous says:

And is 1.7 GB of free storage enough to run this texture pack on my iPad

  36. YY Minecon says:

This texture pack is great. I like the realism but yet the slight cartoony feel. Looks great. But one thing, it takes up so much space and runs quite slowly. What a pity for low-end device users who like this pack, such as me. If there is any chance, would someone make/port a lower resolution version of this pack (At least 64 or below). Would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  37. Rickye says:

This pack no longer works properly on minecraft windows 10 edition.

In creative mode it say that the game is not able to load some package objects resulting in a crash a few moments later. Can anyone update this pack?

This was a really cool texture pack but it kicks me out in like 20 seconds :/

  39. John says:

Help please! The 128 x 128 pixel size textures are causing the small item icons (in inventory view) of similar color to be indistinguishable from each other making it frustrating to tell them apart. I tested this by changing cobblestone.png inside textures/bocks to 32 x 32 size. The cobblestone item icon looks very clear at 32 x 32. But the cobblestone block is less than ideal looking. Is there anyway to get minecraft to use the higher 128 x 128 for the blocks, but a lower 32 x 32 for the item icons?

  40. John says:

There are issues that cause the game to kick me out, plus the issue I mentioned about the small item icons in inventory view, and the textures look odd when viewed far away and some textures are missing. I wish I could edit my previous rating to a 3 star rating, but hopefully a 1 will bring the average down appropriately. Sigh…going from java to windows 10 is depressing.

  41. Emilie says:

sometimes very creepy, but it’s cool…

  42. rchrdcrg says:

Noticing issues running this on 1.2. Would love to see this get an update as my partner LOVES this skin and has been sad he can’t use it any more.

  43. James Jackson says:

Potion and arrow textures are not properly presented as they are originally shown and represented using JSON files as an overlay. These files do not function in this version of minecraft, only the Java edition. For potions to look accurate in this edition, each potion needs to have it’s own texture file with it’s specific color. These will have to be created.
