Electric Furnace (Command Block) [Redstone]

This is a quite clever redstone machine which lets you build an electric furnace. The electric furnace is much better than an ordinary furnace since it doesn’t require any fuel (e.g. coal) to run. However, the downside is that it is slower than an ordinary furnace and doesn’t have the same mobility since it requires the redstone structure to be somewhere close to function properly.

How does it work?

Turn on the machine by pushing the lever downwards. This is required in order to be able to build the electric furnace.

To build the electric furnace you will need one normal furnace block, one rail track and one minecart with hopper. Begin by first placing down the rail track. Then place the furnace on top of it. And then lastly place the minecart with hopper on the rail track.

You can now open the furnace UI (user interface) and start smelting your items. The process is slightly slower than a normal furnace, but the advantage is that you don’t need any fuel.

I Love this command block creation! I just made a few tweaks in the commands blocks so it still works the same way but instead of give the player the item cooked or smelted it will disappear! But overall this is a neat command block creation.

Very cool creation but I have something I think you could improve on you could make it without using any hoppers, red stone torchers or comparators, I made it myself to be more compact using the world, just have two commandblocks. 1 on the lower level set to repeat and always actives, having the data (testforblock X Y Z lever 12). Then above that have another command block facing up set to chain conditional and always active. Then have the data that was in your command block. (execute @e[minecarthoppee] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~1~ furnace -1 replaceitem block ~ ~1 ~ slot.conatiner 1 stick 1 0).

By using an always active repeat command block to execute the code It would create a lot of lag, had to do this creation using the clock so that PE users could play without experiencing too much lag. 🙂

The title is typo, it must be “Furnace”, not “Furance”.

You wrote “Furnace” wrong on the title

This makes coal so much more useless😀

    Great map! Really cool idea!
I figured out how to make it much faster though and it works just as great- In the command block, replace the text saying “stick” with “coal” then add the 1 and the 0 back and tada

Johny, you spelled Furnace as ‘Furance’

Well… you can put the command block to “repeat” and “always active”, you don’t need to make this redstone clock ! And you can hide the command block underground !!!

    • PiAndAHalf(aka KBJ) says:

Making the command block “always active” and “repeat” will create too much lag for users with weak devices
