Deep Sea Addon

The Nether is now known as the Deep Sea. Everything there, including mobs and textures, have been revamped to appear as if it’s underwater. Perhaps in inspiration of the upcoming The Update Aquatic which is set to come out soon for Minecraft. Venture among turtles and other sea creatures in an entire new experience below surface!

How to reach the Deep Sea dimension?

You can visit the Deep Sea by entering into a Deep Sea portal. This is actually a normal Nether portal. So to create it you will need a bunch of obsidian blocks and a flint and steel to ignire the portal.

You’ll come across many new creatures in this brand new ocean world. A full list of the mobs can be found further down on this page. The creature as seen below is a creature of the Sea People.

And yes, that’s a turtle!

New Sea Mobs

  • Sea Turtle
  • Anglerfishe
  • Seabed People
  • Vortex
  • Moorish Idol

This makes me think of Subnautica.

Love this. However, would it be possible to change the torches, sea lanterns, and vexes back to their normal versions? The bright neon blue lighting is really messing up my house in the overworld. And I personally like the original vex design. They look like creepy little fairies.

  5. Squilliam says:

They’re spawning in the overworld and I’m not sure why. Other than that, great addon.

  11. Red#5 says:

Also, maybe you could add an item that when held reduces your gravity to 0? Cause then you could use that to make it seem like your swimming through the deep sea, just an idea 😀

  12. Alan Tomathy says:

Typo! You put anglerfishe instead of anglerfish! Hope this helps!

  14. Red#5 says:

Though, if you decide to update this addon, could you make netherbricks look like prismarine bricks or some sort of prismarine bock that isint actually in the game? Cause then that could allow you to have more prismarine themed blocks for you to build with and you could add more design to prismarine buildings, it’s just an idea though great addon!
