Some people may have played or seen videos of the iconic Twilight Forest Mod for Java Edition Minecraft. In that mod, there is a biome called the fire swamp. This biome is red, with fire plumes and a hydra boss. I thought it would be cool to begin porting the biome over to Bedrock Edition.
This currently is just a resource pack that changes the swamp biome to look like the fire swamp. My plan is to update this to actually include the hydra, and then hopefully add fire and maybe change some world generation, maybe even add custom items.
In this first picture, you can see how the savanna (And other biomes) are not changed. In this picture there is also a normal river. See how only the fire swamp plants and water are red in color.
Here is a closer picture of what it will look like in the biome. Below are some more pictures also to see how it looks. Most of these pictures are at night.
More info:
- Fire Swamp Biome has random bugged grass with snow texture showing for no reason. i have not done anything in the files intentionally for this to happen. In the next update I plan to fix this unless it is just a coding issue with Minecraft Bedrock.
- For features, I plan to add the hydra boss to the biome in some way.
- I also may hopefully have the hydra cave generate
- If the above features get added, I will try to add some of the hydra drops and items
- If you have suggestions for what to add and also how to fix any bugs, or just want to give some feedback, I will check the comments periodically. If you want to get a hold of me more privately or more immediately, you can email me at [email protected]

Hey, where can I get the resource pack for the chemistry update, I know you have access Ninja
Resource pack for the chemistry update? I’m not following by what you mean by that.
This is an amazing mod u go
it is a resource pack, not a mod
It’s just a resource pack for now. I’m working on some of the behaviors and textures.
Thank you!
If you don’t know, you can add custom mobs, items and biomes with add-ons now. I’m hoping to see a full port of the Java Edition mod as a Bedrock Edition add-on.
I actually have started working on the items. The only problem is that I have little experience with 1.12 addon features (In terms of making an addon, I like to play addons all the time), plus I have a potato computer. That being said, my plan is to update this within a month or so. The other problem is that I have school coming again soon.
While there’s not much to this addon currently, I think it has huge potential and I like the ideas you have for it. But could I recommend making the fire swamp it’s own biome instead of replacing the existing swamps? Besides that nitpick I can’t wait to see where you go from here
I’m pretty inexperienced with changing biomes for 1.12. I also don’t know if there is a way to have a modded biome change the grass and plants color, so it probably would not work. I changed the swamp because I knew it would work, plus I don’t like the vanilla swamp too much anyways. I do know that I change swamp biome generation to add the hydra cave, and the items and entities. The next update probably won’t be a for a while. My computer can not use bridge or any other similar programs for addon making. I’m happy to hear that you think there is potential.
