Fixed Vanilla

This Resource Pack fixes some issues in the base game related to textures, models and animations, both default and classic textures are supported, Every fix is listed in the description.

BLOCKS

  • Save and Load Structure Blocks now use the correct textures [MCPE-48224];
  • Chiseled and Cut Red Sandstone blocks’ undersides now use the correct texture [MCPE-20006];
  • Melons’ underside now use the correct texture [MCPE-31035];
  • Bee Nests and Beehives now correctly play wood sounds when placed [MCPE-53577];
  • Dried Kelp Blocks’ bottom texture now matches the other sides [MCPE-35476];
  • The carried Grass Block top texture now matches the sides;
  • Fixed Sandstone and Red Sandstone walls;
  • Lowered the amount of mipmap levels;
  • Fixed Cactus side texture disappearing when being viewed at shallow angles [MCPE-58764];
  • Various fixes related to the command completion screen:
    • Fixed ‘lit_blast_furnace’, ‘lit_furnace’ and ‘lit_smoker’ icons [MCPE-48042];
    • Fixed ‘lava_cauldron’ icon;
    • Fixed all ‘standing_sign’ and ‘wall_sign’ variants;
    • Fixed ‘tripwire’ icon;
    • Fixed ‘powered_repeater’ and ‘unpowered_repeater’ icons;
    • Fixed ‘powered_comparator’ and ‘unpowered_repeater’ icons;
    • Fixed ‘potatoes’ and ‘carrots’ icons;
    • Fixed ‘bamboo_sapling’ icon;
  • Cracked & Chiseled Nether Bricks now use the correct sounds;
  • Obsidian and Crying Obsidian can no longer be randomly rotated;
  • Nether Wart now uses the correct sounds (Pitch, volume and/or attenuation may still be incorrect).

  • Pillagers and Zombie Villagers now have the correct height [MCPE-42631];
  • Zombie Villagers, Vindicators and Pillagers no longer render the armor they’re wearing;
  • Shulkers are properly scaled now [MCPE-41736];
  • Tropical fish no longer have random rotations while flopping;
  • Baby Zoglins now have bigger heads [MCPE-65454].

  • Fixed Pillager arms’ back texture (suggested by @LilDibbun) [MCPE-48628];
  • Cats, Pandas and Wandering Traders’ Spawn Eggs now match the others;
  • Fixed misplaced head layer on some Librarian Villagers [MCPE-47297];
  • Fixed Banner patterns’ transparency issues;
  • Fixed the following Banner patterns’ textures:
    • Per Bend;
    • Per Bend Sinister;
    • Per Bend Inverted;
    • Per Bend Sinister Inverted;
  • Several Nether Update items now match their Java Edition counterparts [MCPE-66085];
  • Fixed Phantom Eyes’ texture (suggested by @agentms_ via DM);
  • Fixed Phantom having two incorrectly visible pixels when under the effect of invisiblity;
  • Fixed Piglin’s texture;
  • Fixed Zombified Piglin’s texture;
  • Leather Helmets’ brown overlay is now properly positioned;
  • Strider’s left leg now uses a separate texture;
  • Fixed Snout pattern appearing in any highlighted banner [MCPE-70334];
  • Tweaked loom banner output preview [MCPE-65296];

  • Updated Strider’s model;
  • Hoglin model now matches Java Edition;
  • Capes no longer disconnect from the player’s body when running.

  • Fixed Wolf tail being disconnected from the body when sitting [MCPE-31121];

  • Made several tweaks to the player’s first person animations:

    • Tweaked punching/mining animation for skins with different arm heights;
    • Tweaked hand position while holding maps;
    • Tweaked punching/mining animation with held maps;
    • Tweaked hand position for skins with different arm heights while holding two maps;
    • Tweaked hand animation for loading crossbows;
  • Made several tweaks to the player’s third person animations:
    • Tweaked punching/mining animation (more changes coming in a future update) [MCPE-47940];
    • Punching/mining animation no longer has a sudden cut in the end [MCPE-50236];
    • Punching/mining animation is once again affected by the direction the player is looking at [MCPE-54697];
    • The player model is now centered while swimming;
    • Punching/mining animation now uses the correct rotations when gliding;
    • Cape rotations now better match Java Edition;
    • Capes no longer clip through chestplates [MCPE-90996];
  • Drowneds now use the correct animation when holding items in the offhand [MCPE-37425];
  • Piglins now use the correct animation when attacking [MCPE-74089];
  • Piglins no longer detach their heads and torsos while dancing [MCPE-83828];
  • Corrected the bobbing animation for humanoid mobs (players included);
  • Elytra wings now have the correct positions while swimming and sleeping.

PARTICLES

  • Fixed Campfire smoke size;
  • Added back transparency to Campfire smoke particles;
  • Campfire Smoke now only start fading after reaching a specific height;
  • Entities on top of bubble columns no longer produce white bubbles [MCPE-43881];
  • Conduit particles have been updated to match Java Edition;
  • Critical hit particles are no longer offset [MCPE-39599];
  • Critical hit particles are now closer how they look in Java Edition;
  • Explosion particles now match Java Edition.

  • Adjusted lava animation speed [MCPE-46187];
  • Jungle Leaves once again correctly color the fruits in item form [MCPE-44116];
  • Updated textures for old Villagers and Zombie Villagers from before 1.11;
  • Fixed Lily Pads’ carried texture [MCPE-44206];
  • Fixed Large Fern & Double Tallgrass’ carried textures;
  • Tweaked Tallgrass, Fern & Vines’ carried textures (Can’t fully fix this one yet because of MCPE-53775);
  • Fixed missing pixel in Tallgrass carried texture;
  • Beds’ textures now match Java Edition;
  • Tipped arrows now have the correct colors;
  • Added updated textures for hoes [MCPE-46857];
  • Birch, Spruce, Acacia, Jungle and Dark Oak signs now have matching textures.

  • Added original Crying Obsidian texture;

    Brutes are here, and Fixed Vanilla already broke them! This hotfix will fix them and some more stuff!

    • Obsidian and Crying Obsidian can no longer be randomly rotated;
    • Nether Wart now uses the correct sounds (Pitch, volume and/or attenuation may still be incorrect).

    Installation

    -Download the file and open it;
    -Wait for Minecraft to import it;
    -Enable it in the settings.

    The pack supports both Vanilla AND Classic textures. Adjust the pack's resolution settings to change compatibility (Minecraft Classic Texture Pack can be downloaded from the Marketplace for free)

      Great Job! Reading the comments it looks like you are pretty dedicated to updating this pack for all the new issues people are telling you about. What intrigued me to download and try this out was definitely where you said you fixed the grass top and grass side texture not matching. I assume that meant the biome colors, but upon loading up a world I notice there is still some colors not matching in some spots, especially noticeable in between swamp and other biomes. I’m not sure if this can be fixed but it would be great if you could check it out. Also, in the base game, baby horses have a ton of z-fighting and it would be awesome if you could fix that. Otherwise, you’ve done awesome good work!

      Great work thanks Can you please fix the item names (when scrolled over) especially the enchanted ones colliding with hotbar in the latest 1.16 update… You can really see all the enchantment when scrolling over items in latest 1.16.20

      From the description of the pack here your pack looks intriguing, mainly the features that fix programmer art issues. Though those features don’t seem to be working when I load the pack into my game. Mainly I’m looking at nether gold and its still the 1.16 base texture. Is there something I’m doing wrong? thanks

      You could make the mobs play some sounds of the players combining with the java edition:

      Pillagers and Piglins need to have shoting sounds for the crossbow

      Mobs like villagers need sounds to pick up items, drop items and plant seeds

      Mobs like piglins need sounds to equip armor

      Hostile mobs need the attack sound

      Mobs like skeletons and variants need bow shooting sounds

        Thanks! The smoke rendering through clouds is a known issue, but it was actually a tradeoff I thought was worth it for the better looking smoke particles. Sorry if that annoys you, you can remove ‘campfire_smoke.json’ and ‘campfire_smoke_tall.json’ from the ‘particles’ folder.

      Also, fix custom blocks not appearing in the creative inventory.

      is there any way you can fix the amount the hand sways when view bobbing is on?? it sways too much and makes me dizzy xD also, there is also another bug, when you turn view bobbing off, the swaying turns off (completely still unlike java) if you could fix it) sorry if this is too much to ask, but anyway, awesome pack!

      First off very pleased with the hand length fix. however is there a way to get the view bobbing more like in java. Also ive searched the files for a way to to make the gui size smaller but have had no luck, i was wondering if you had any idea how too

      May I suggest a hotfix? It appears that the new sign textures are not appearing. The only one that seems to work is the Acacia sign. Also the sign items is still outdated? (Others need to match the oak one)

        Ah, I see. The sign items haven’t got updated textures yet, so I didn’t do anything about it. About the new sign textures, I only modified acacia, dark oak and jungle because I had the beta in mind. Sorry, I didn’t think of 1.14.

      Hi I would just like to say that the zonbie villagers are just ever so slightly taller than other villager type mobs? Literally by a quarter pixel or something like that. Not sure if thats normal. Their heads clip through the top of blocks so you can see the top of their head.

      when these slabs and stairs are placed under the blocks, in the water, or even in the shade, believe me it is something strange and annoying

      Could you tell me how the tipped arrows have a fixed texture? Just hard to notice any difference. I would also like to point out there might be inconsistencies in zombie villagers textures such as missing gloves and some other things(unless its intentional)
      Sorry for long message but one more thing. The sign texture is outdated(uses old plank texture) any chances that could be a fix?
      But overall, great work on the pack! I love it.

        It’s quite difficult to notice, but tipped arrows didn’t have matching colors with the potions. About the zombie villagers, I tried everything I could to enable the overlays. Sadly, that’s probably not possible to be fixed with just a resource pack. And the signs are staying like that for now, because the texture artist working at Mojang didn’t create new textures for those. I’ll definitely include those in the pack if he ever does!

I am making a texture pack for my friends and myself and I have managed to fix the smooth quartz block and smooth quartz slab, but not the stairs.       By the way, I uploaded Fixed Vanilla v1.3.0 earlier today, so it’s most likely gonna be approved for release tomorrow. I had to deal with a loss of files though, so don’t expect v1.4.0 anytime soon!

        Hey! Thanks for your feedback! The compasses are working as intended, they don’t point to the north, they actually point at the world spawnpoint. About the piston bug, I’m unable to fix that because it’s hard coded into the game, but don’t worry too much about that because it’s getting fixed in 1.13, which should be releasing soon!

      Can you possibly fix the piston texture? Sometimes when you place it, it has a double piston head on one side.

        Hello! Sorry for the late response! About the piston texture, I’m unable to edit the Piston UV due to it being hard coded into the game. However, you don’t have to worry too much about that! The 1.13 betas have fixed the issue [MCPE-38053], and it should be officially released soon.
