Life in a Sphere

Are you a person that thinks Minecraft is just too easy? Are there too many resources and not enough mobs coming to attack you? Don't you wish you were stuck in eternal darkness? Right? Me either, but I made a map that lets you experience this if you want! You've been warned.

Guys I have no idea what inspired me to make this world but here it is! A VERY difficult survival world with very limited resources and constant mob spawns! Trapped inside of and enormous bedrock ball floating in the abyss of nothingness. You will have access to the Nether and the End Dimension but the entire Overworld exists solely inside of this ball!

There are 4 custom villagers inside the village waiting to trade with you. They all offer custom trades and are designed to help with survival. There is an End Stone section attached to the roof that contains the end portal, although this will not be easy to reach in survival. There are normal ores, and caves underground and the botom of the world is lined with bedrock as well so there is no worry of mining through the bottom.

There is an active village with several normal Minecraft villagers waiting but id hurry and save them as the monsters will soon kill them all! The custom villagers are immune to attacks so you don't have to protect them.

-Creeper Defense-

Creepers will not destroy blocks in this world!

-Sleep System-

The one player sleep system in the world allows for a single person to skip the night with multiple players online by standing on top of a bed and selecting the sleep option. This will skip the night and reset Phantom spawns. The night will be announced with a message "You may now sleep, Goodnight!". The morning will be announced with the message "Good Morning".

Other than what I've said, this is NOT a normal survival world it is incredibly difficult, BUT achievements are enabled so go, create and survive!

You may share this map with anyone for any non-profit purposes, all that I ask is that if you share this map that I am given credit as the creator.

Select version for changelog:

  • Added new download link due to issues with the previous one.

There are 2 world downloads, one features a system that will give all players above Y=59 in the overworld night vision effects all the time - this is the normal download version.

"Dark Mode" There is no night vision assistance in this world it is just total darkness and is up to you to light the path!

Be warned that neither version is easy, Peaceful difficulty is suggested for those that wish to play without constant griefing.

MrGreen Games I found your maps nice, but why is the sphere made in bedrock when the bedrock is only available in creative mode ?, In the world settings it was marked 'Achievements are available in this world 'so this world had to be made in survival mode.

The map was made in creative and designed for survival. I use a program on my PC to re-enable the achievements once I am done creating.
