Mesaville [Creation]

This map is once again fully functional. Whatever was causing the problems with the 1.9 and 1.10 versions of minecraft has been fixed and this map is now working well with the current 1.12 version of minecraft. Feel free to recommence downloading and exploring this map. I will continue building on this map again and submit updates as and when i feel i have built enough to have the update accepted by by MCPEDL..

Mesaville is more than a village as it features everything from a naval base to impressive strongholds and other cool structures. It’s by no means a realistic city but that’s what I like about it. I guess you could say it looks very “Minecrafty” and as if these structures could have been an actual part of the game. The uses for this map are many. For example, you could start a new survival adventure using this map, or you could just download it to explore all the different things in the map.

It took somewhere around 11 months to complete the map. Even once you think you’ve seen it all there are most likely much left unseen.

Here is a stronghold which you can hide in during the night to make sure you stay well protected against monsters. The structure on the right looks like an ancient Greek temple.

Another cool structure is the mansion which can be found on one of the hills in the map. It’s a two-story building with an inside swimming pool and a helicopter pad on the roof.

On the shore of the coast you will find a big container ship.

If you look closely at the water behind the ship you will see something whch looks like a secret base. You might wanna explore that some more!

Here is the naval base and here you will find a submarine and some army ships. Most things have an interior which you can explore.

At the naval base you will also find an airport with an airplane and a helicopter.

There are lots of more things to explore. But hopefully these images provided you with enough information to get you excited about this map! Important: This map might take a long time for you to download as it’s a quite big file (60+ MB).

I like how I’m running the village like a Fascist Dictator lol

I’m improving the map. I made an observatory, hospital, and added more structures.

    Another space center
    Hydroelectric dam
    More buildings

  5. i’m working on a city near a desert village, similar to mesaville.

    Here’s a lil’ teaser:

  6. Angelo says:

1.11 is released already. You can use the map already.

  7. MCpillager12 says:

Can you bone meal a lot areas, especially the area where the Mayan temple is located? Also add some more trees, it will make the map look much more green.

    • keithross39 says:

Hi MCpillager12. You’re more than welcome to use bonemeal and add trees wherever you want to on the map. I personally think that the terrain looks a lot cleaner without all of that. I actually spent a long time removing a lot of tall grass, normal grass, flowers & trees and I prefer it looking as it does.
      Sorry fella.

  8. MCpillager12 says:

While I was seeing the comments for the bug report, I found this comment by Keith:
“The 1.11 beta version of Minecraft Bedrock appears to have fixed the problem. My build now opens and plays as expected.”

  9. ELITEGAMEZ321 says:

Very great map there are a few glitches that are none of your control but ,y only problem here is long loading time lmao

    • keithross39 says:

Hi ELITEGAMEZ321. The long loading time is down to the size of the world file. It’s about 60mb when world’s are normally closer to a maximum size of 10 or 15mb.
60mb is a lot of data to import/load into the game, so it will take more time than expected.

  10. Estabon says:

Could you please make it work for 1.10

    • keithross39 says:

Sorry. I can’t do that. The problem is at Mojang’s end and I have no control over that. Somebody on this thread said they’re on the 1.11 beta and the map works. I won’t know for certain until that version goes on general release as I don’t intend to become a beta tester. Just hang in there and this map *should* become playable again fairly soon.

What is the coordinates for the XP farm?

    • keithross39 says:

      Hey MCpillager
I assume you know that the XP farm will only be of use if you play this map in survival?
      The coordinates are….

      642 43 -31

You’ll find a 4 block high by 7 block wide by 6 block deep area of nether quartz which gives lots of XP when you mine them (just make sure you have the right pickaxe).

  13. keithross39 says:

It looks like the MCBE 1.9.0 update has made this map impossible to open. This *has* been reported on the minecraft jira bug tracker so hopefully it’ll be sorted soon.

    • keithross39 says:

Ok so I teleported to some of those locations you provided and yes there are glitches. But they are terrain glitches which I have NO control over. Kind of lame to give the map a 3 star rating over a pre generated terrain issue. Did you explore the builds at all, or just go around looking for problems?

    • keithross39 says:

Hope you enjoy exploring my map Anonymous. There is lots to see that you won’t find unless you are *really* looking. Take your time with the map and have fun.

  19. Scotty says:

I started the download I left it alone 4 a few hour and it didn’t doing anything help plz

    • keithross39 says:

Hey Scotty. I’m not sure what the problem is but it’s not the file in Mediafire as I can see it’s been downloaded nearly 11000 times and I would be seeing more posts like yours if the file was at fault. My guess is that you may not have enough free storage space available for the file. It is a fairly big file at near to 70 mb. Most minecraft builds are closer to between 2 and 5 mb. Try can clear some files (photos, music or videos) and then try and download again.

    • Angelo says:

Maybe you have a weak connection? Mine took me 1 minute to download the map.

  20. VibrantFrog1428 says:

this LOOKS so good, sadly for me i cant experience any of it. it downloads fine but doesent show up in minecraft. ive tried manually importing it multiple times and reinstalling the file but nothing works. i hope this can be fixed sometime because it looks so good.

just incase it helps i play on widows 10 version 1.2.13 (because windows 10 minecraft wont update idk why)

    • keithross39 says:

When I get a chance, I’ll see if my map imports to my copy of win10 minecraft. The only thing I can think of is maybe as I’ve been creating this map with the latest Android minecraft release, that it’s not compatible with the slightly older win10 version. I’ll check my end and let you know.

  21. keithross39 says:

I hope you all like the addition of the fortified Mesa village and the Mayan temple with the end portal. Let me know please…..Thanks.

  22. Rens Roger says:

why does not the map work i already downloaded and imported it but it does not work 🙁

    • keithross39 says:

It *should* be working. I uploaded this version of my map directly from the phone I’ve been using to build it with. I’ll see if I can arrange an alternative download to see if that will help, and if Admin/Editor allows me to, I’ll post the alternative link here.

  23. The noobest noob says:

I love this map! Actually not 5* because I give it 10*

  24. Chuckeeee says:

Can u give me the coordinates of the submarine please. Great map.

    • keithross39 says:

      The coordinates are
      505, 74, 283
That’ll put you right in the conning tower. It is easy enough to find without teleporting. There is one road running through the map. At one end there is a clay/terracotta Mesa with a castle on top of it, at the other end is the port, oil rig, container ship and Navy base with its 2 battle ships and the submarine. Just follow the road past the giant Tree House… can’t miss it.

    Any fix

  29. keithross39 says:

If you’re talking about the house I think you are (hidden entrance fireplace?) then yes, I added redstone circuitry that simultaneously closed the doors (window shutters) and turned on the lights.

  30. Bacon_Mc says:

Hey Keith, Did you change the house between the mansion and the tree house, Because On the second floor changed, back in 0.14.0 the Windows where just Windows and in 0.15 or 0.16 it changed to doors

  31. Ayyybouuuu says:

When I download, I click the green button the download page is loading. But, when it’s finished its still on the page where the green button is

  32. Skylar12 says:

When I click the green download button on the media fire link, it just stays there.

  33. ZOMKO says:

Yes I try to post it But The limite of size can’t Do this pity

  34. keithross39 says:

    Hey ZOMKO…..
The idea sounds fun, but you’re going to have problems posting it on utk. They have an upload size limit of 50mb …
This map is closer to 60mb, so it won’t upload to their servers.

  35. ZOMKO says:

HEY your City is Just good Can i creat a zombie apocalypse and share it in but Your name is in the map ?

  36. keithross39 says:

Hi PPuReadThtRightM8 I’ve just checked both the download links, and they both work….
Don’t know what the issue could be, but it’s not this site or the Mediafire links or asset files. I could make them temporarily available in Dropbox and post the links in this thread if the Moderators allow this and you think it could help….

  37. PPuReadThtRightM8 says:

When I attempt to download it, (.mcworld & the .ZIP folder too) I click the download button it’s still on the page (iOS, iPad 2, Have enough storage,)

  38. keithross39 says:

MCPE-DL Admin and I have been working together to create a .mcworld conversion of my map that should play on iOs (you will notice the additional download link).
So far this remains untested on iOs. Please leave feedback for us so that we know whether we have been successful or not.

  41. keithross39 says:

    Hi Becca
    Thanks for downloading my map.
There have been so many builds on this map that I’m sure even I have forgotten about some of them. But then, that was sort of the whole point….creating a map that would keep those exploring it interested enough to want to find everything. Redstone has made this possible…With the possibilities it creates, there are hidden entrances to all sorts of extra builds, and that is only going to increase over time….

  42. Becca says:

This is such a cool map. I am going to have hours playing on this one. Thank you so much for making it and sharing it. I love looking and finding everything.

  43. keithross39 says:

My current focus of attention is getting rid of two thirds of the INSANE number of glowstone blocks used to light the interior of the nether based nether fortress. The glowstone was placed before Mojang made nether brick brighter. Now it is brighter, all that glowstone is overkill.

  44. keithross39 says:

Juan Maya….If you’re on Android, download and install a good file explorer like this one……
    Download the map zip.
Open the file explorer and navigate to…..
Locate the Mesaville map zip, long press it and select ‘extract all’. When it’s finished extracting, you will be prompted to either ‘stay’ or ‘go to……’.
Select go to and then click on each file you see until you get to a file called
Long press this file and from the dialogue box that opens, select ‘copy’ or ‘move’ (doesn’t matter which).
Once you have done that, press the back button on your phone until you see a list of folders that includes ‘games’.
When you see the games folder, touch it, then touch the ‘com.mojang’ folder inside it and then the ‘minecraftworlds’ folder inside that.
When you have the minecraftworlds folder open, select ‘paste’ to copy or move the previously selected folder into this location.
Back out of the file explorer app and start MCPE. Mesaville should now be in the list of available maps.
    Job done.

How Do You Access This World from the app.Help Plz I really wanna play this world

  46. keithross39 says:

    Thanks for your comments DeathCop4000
They give me an added push to stay with this map and create more….. 🙂
This map will never be truly complete until I run out of ideas for what to build next. So far it is limited to a single landmass on the world. As this world is ‘infinite’ there’s no reason why it can’t expand in any direction I want it to. I started building this about November 2015 as I had got my kids a tablet each for Christmas, installed MCPE on it and wanted to give them a ‘starter’ world to play on and it’s kinda grown from that (my kids love it by the way 🙂 )
I’m not going to hide it behind AdFly though. While I don’t mind clicking past it for those who want to use it, I personally don’t like it….but that’s just me. And I don’t consider this to be hard work, simply because I enjoy creating stuff and using my imagination. If others like what I do, that’s enough for me.

  47. DeathCop4000 says:

This is one of those maps that make you inspire to use your imagination , you can be the best builder there ever was . Very beautiful builds .
