brown shelf fungi can be found in birch forests
red shelf fungi can be found in dark oak forests
do keep in mind, these aren't vanilla mobs and so it would never 100% match the vanilla aesthetic
not really sure what you mean by making it look more like it's namesakes, and i would say they match the vanilla style to a good extent
Snowy Areas are definitely on the the todo list!
