All you have to do is just edit the player model and make it look whatever you want, but i think that you need to make all pices of the armor a separate model (if not only the helmet is 3d), example: a top hat, you delete all player bones exept "head" and "hat" and just model the hat and make sure the cubes are part of the "head" bone, then draw a texture for it. Hope this was useful 😊 (idk how i turned from someone who doesn't know anything about modeling to almost a pro)

I still don't know anything about animating my models xd, also my models are too basic for being part of one of my subbmissions.

I recomend blockbench for help doing 3d minecraft models.
