The sensational news of November 1982 was the news that a new BMW model was presented at the UK Motor Show. It was the BMW 3 E30, the second of the BMW automobile concern series sedans, which went on sale in early 1983. The exterior of the BMW E30 body is somewhat similar to the previously released BMW E21 model. The BMW E30 has the same M10 engine, and it is found in models of the late 80s, such as: 316, 316i and 318. But the six-cylinder M20 engine is used in later BMW E30 models (320i, 323i, 325i).
