Bison Addon (The Baby Bison Update)

Everybody wants more animals in Minecraft and I decided to put one in myself! I'm a fairly young player that aspires to be a creator one day, so I've taken up the challenge of becoming an addon maker! This is obviously my first addon but I will be adding new features and keeping the addon up to date. Please provide me feedback and support me by using the shortlink provided below, I spent a lot of time on this and the money will help me and my family throughout this cold season! Feel free to review but don't redirect others to the direct download link, don't steal my model, etc. and etc!

Hello again miners! I'm working on an update that will introduce some new mobs into the savanna! I already finished the implementation of one of them (which is a secret, here's a hint: THEY DON'T LIKE CROCODILES AND ARE VERY TERRITORIAL) and the next animal to be developed will be wildebeests! Progress was halted due to my mental health and being busy moving out of my apartment, but things will get moving again in a few days when I have all my furniture and ETC.

I'm interested in adding new decorative blocks and items; I want some of you to give me suggestions! I always check the comments so if you share your idea I'll see it! Thank you all for the support, I hope to see how creative you guys can get!

They're not related to bison/buffalo but think of them as a bonus mob. Their primary purpose is to be hostile towards wildebeests. I want to put in a humanoid entity to hunt them but that's a tiny bit more difficult.

Until I grasp how those types of entities work, hippos will do. ?

What phone are you on? When I download an addon pack I have to press the file from inside my browser's downloads to get it to run. Then it opens minecraft and installs the addon. If you are on IOS, try looking for the mcpedl guide since I don't have that device myself. Please get back to me if you are still having trouble!

Do you have a discord or another similar social media account? If you send me screenshots it'd be easier to troubleshoot what's wrong.

Can't believe I forgot to tell you this! Do you have the mcpedl app? You can find it on the google play store! My addon can be downloaded from there if you still can't install it! On the app it will prompt what application to open (obviously choose minecraft) then the game will open and save the addon pack!

This is a really great addon. Although just some feedback is the textures add more shading and make the legs much larger. Because bisons are really big.

Not perfect but a great addon 4.5

Thank you for the suggestion! Luckily I remade the model for the adult bison today! It's mostly done but I'm not sure about the scale... I'll probably make the legs on the adult (at least one cube) longer as you requested. The shading on the new texture is also way better, I'm sure you'll approve when you see it in the next BIG update. ?

The lower body and stomach still looks much detail, bisons have a lot of hair; that's something I'll have to work on along with the baby bison's texture.

Looks good.
I have an idea for bison model. Maybe make the back closer to the level of the top of its head and raise the hair a bit on its back to be a pixel or two above the head. It should look closer to its real life counter part.

The back should already be level with its head. As for small details like the hair, I could do that. I plan on remaking the model for the adult bison because for some reason the head bone doesn't react well when looking at an entity. Thank you for the feedback! I will aim to improve it's look but I want it to fit in with the other minecraft mobs which are basic in nature but still look good.

Can you elaborate? If you are talking about the model, no. My goal is to have the bison fit in with the vanilla mobs. I can redirect you to another addon that has realistic looking bison if you so desire. I believe it is also up to date. :)

I'd love to assist you but it would be best for you to try to make them yourself! I'm just a beginner so I am clueless when it comes to making really complicated addons.
