Custom Wood Example Pack

This addon that adds a new type of wood to the game, it has everything a wood can have(except signs, buttons and pressure plates, adding that is impossible lol), not only blocks, but a new generation of cherry blossom trees, also, you can craft everything that needs wood, very useful. For add-on developers: You are free to use this addon to make your own wood, but don't forget to credit the creator (me) and ihategravel(trapdoor code), and if you find a bug, let me know. THIS ADDON ONLY WORKS IN THE LATEST RELEASE!

-Now works in the latest version(1.20.10)

-Update all the block components to the latest version.

 

Changes:

-Re-work the door block code.

-Updated block code to 1.20.10

-Change slab and stairs properties to match vanilla(placement direction).

-Now some blocks use the new traits feature.

-Change the fence gate, trapdoor and door open/close sounds to match vanilla.
 

Bug Fixes:

-Fix models bug(related to "bone_visibility").

-Fix minor issues.

Shame this got made right as cherry blossom was confirmed to be added
seems like a cool addon but probably wont be used because of the update

The only things that work are the planks, slabs, leaves, logs, woods, and fences. The stairs, fence gates, doors[block], trapdoors, stairs, and saplings[block] dont even exist in my world :(

I think he used red, because he used a pretty similar textature as the Java mid "Biomes o' Plenty"

No one cares. Go away with these useless ads, everyone hates ads. Neat addon btw, too bad its gonna be no longer used when 1.19.80 comes, it adds the real cherry tree and wood.

I found the bug the door is cut off at half when I open the door they cut it self can’t enter the door when close the door you can jump on it can you fix it?

You are an absolute legend, thank you so much! I’ve been struggling to make a custom wood for an world generation addon I’ve been working on, and I usually work with entity’s and world generation so i’m pretty new to making blocks, and so I managed to do everything else by myself, but I had no idea how to make the fences, fence gates, doors, trapdoors and stairs and this was so helpful! Also I love your component group naming like where you just put F for instant despawn😅And obviously I’ll give credit to you in the post and in a credits.txt text file in the pack :D

There are many restrictions in the bedrock edition that do not allow you to create completely vanilla blocks

Not easy. They have to completely code a whole block and recode it every update.
In Bedrock no need to know how to code and the system is 100% supported and maintained by Mojang.
