KTM-5 (71-605 according to a Single numbering) is a Soviet and Russian high—floor four-axle one-way tram. The first prototypes of this tram were built in 1963 at the Ust-Katavsky Kirov Car Building Plant (UKVZ), serial production lasted from 1969 to 1992. This model of trams produced by UKVZ is more rigid under the name "KTM-5M3". This was its designation until July 1976, when the USSR introduced a single numbering of the type of rolling stock for the tram and subway. The abbreviation "KTM" stood for "Kirov Motor tram", according to the manufacturer's name. After 1976, the abbreviation "KTM" was informally called and called all the main serial samples of UKVZ products: tram cars of types 71-608, 71-619 and 71-623....
