Thirst Addon

This addon adds thirst into your game. The thirst goes down slowly and eventually will kill you unless you get to water. If you have any ideas or find any bugs please say in the comments.

Good mod, but can you add a resource pack to make the bar water droplets above your hunger, I just think it would look nicer
1
Is it working on 1.17.400 version?
1
It should work on all versions unless they change how commands work
1

Can you just make it so that the regular water bottle refills the thirst? Because it's just weird that you can craft a water bottle with a water bottle.
1
The reason you craft it into a water bottle is because it's not possible to adjust the code of potions or water bottle.
1
can you make it not use player.json?
1
It doesn't use player.json?

Hi! I just want to suggest something, I haven’t used this mod yet but instead of going IN water, I think we could just hit the water instead. Thanks!
1
That will use player.json. Deeming it not compatible with lots of addons

Hello, I eat cactus :D July 28, 2021 at 3:41 am
Make melons and fruits fill up thirst because some fruits hydrate you, and melons are 92% water.
1
I tried to make apples do that and it hadn't worked.

Mod Suggestion:
If you feel like you have the time, I have a suggestion for your next addon.. SICKNESSES..
the last mod I found that introduced sickness and disease into bedrock was from 2015, and it was of course never updated sense. It is a mechanic myself and I'm sure many others would love to see reintroduced to the bedrock community.

i tried and im stuck on ideas for it

I got an idea or two.
Idea 1: Raw meats, and rotten flesh have a chance of giving you a stomach virus. Stomach viruses will occasionally give you 5 seconds of nausea, slowness, hunger, or weakness. To cure yourself you will need to wait 10 minutes for it to stop naturally, or use a health or regeneration potion. you can also eat golden food variants. if potions and gold items are too expensive and you are impatient, you can mix sugar with red mushrooms to make medicine. medicine can also cure hunger, poison, weakness, and wither like a bucket of milk, but you keep all other potion effects like strength or regeneration.
1
Idea 2: getting hit by an undead mob has a 1 in 1000 chance of giving you the Z virus. The Z virus has 3 stages, each in the span of a 10 minutes.
stage 1. occasional 5 seconds of slowness, nausea, hunger, or weakness, making it confused with a stomach virus.
stage 2. alongside the stage one side effects, you may occasionally get one second of poison or wither.
stage 3. you will take small amounts of damage from sunlight and will have permanent slowness and strength 1. You'll be ignored by hostile mobs, but feared by villagers and attacked by golems. and after 6 minutes, you will die..
As threatening as it may sound, it is easily cured though medicine within stage 1 and 2. on stage 3, however, you will need a golden apple. These two items are the only cures for the Z virus.

Just amazing ... it's a new difficulty in the game, but I think the textures are not that compatible with the game. Wish you could swap the thirst bar for things like drops of water or something similar, please i would really appreciate it.

Other than that everything is perfect, Good job and keep updating

ADDON REVIEW

Hey folks, I'm GameWizard and I'm going to review this addon!

TEXTURES: This addon is not exactly one that benefits or dis-benefits from its textures. The UI does not particularly match the rest of the UI elements but this is due to limitations, I know. A slightly different texture for the drinkable water would be nice. I recommend using a pixel art tool to thin and straighten the sides of the potion texture.

GAMEPLAY: This addon has great gameplay potential. Having a thirst meter is a great new challenge for seasoned players and keeps even the late game fresh. One thing I would like to see changed is the drinkable water system. Having to craft a single water bottle into a single drinkable water bottle just screams limitations, so you could make it a bit more elaborate. Maybe you need to put a water bottle over a campfire to make it safe to drink. This adds a new gameplay element and makes the addon feel smoother and less code restricted.

FINAL VERDICT: This addon is, for lack of better words, good. It is simple but the simplicity works to the benefit of this addon. The UI could be prettier, and the water changing system a bit cleaner, but these are minor nitpicks. A well rounded addon. I would recommend it for sure.

Thank you. The lack of textures and drinking of normal water is because I want to keep it compatible with all mods and not have a texture pack which would edit the UI.
