When hearing Mazda, people often associate it with everyone's favorite dorito shaped engine, the rotary/wankel engine, which they tried to prove reliable throughout the late 60's all the way until 2012 with their 13B rotary engine. While the engine is also known for it's use in more sports-oriented vehicles made by Mazda like the RX7 lineup, the Cosmo lineup and the successful 787B, it was also used in everyday rides made by them. In this case, the Luce or 929 - a series of executive sedans made by Mazda throughout 1973-1991 (1997 if you consider the Nissan Sentia). Though for this time, I decided to go with the HC which was the final gen in the series (if you don't consider the Nissan Sentia). So what does that mean? Well now, you get to listen to the orgasmic sound of the rotary while owning a car that can hold up to more than 2 people. Great for those who adore and worship the rotary and actually have friends and a family.
• About Project
As requested, here is an example of a sedan/commercial car. I will be making more sedans from time to time, ideally every 3-4 (sports) car projects.
On a note to that, for vehicles such as sedans like this, I won't model the engine bay for them simply just to reduce the number of elements in my models which will improve performance on low-end devices as my models nowadays have over 1000 elements.
For sports cars however, I will continue to model the engine bay.
This is also the first car to have working wipers! They will turn on when it is in rain or in water while a player is siting in the car!
• Car History
"The 1986 Luce was large and luxurious on the HC platform, now with the 13B turbo engine as one of many engine options. It was still exported as the 929, and differed from the (continued) Cosmo. At its introduction in 1986, it was offered with Mazda's first V6 engine, called the Mazda J engine which came as a 2.0-liter, a 2.0-liter turbo, and a 3.0-liter for top level model. The Luce Royal Classic (and lesser-spec Limited) was more expensive than its 929 counterpart, featuring greater technical innovation—both were pillarless hardtops. [...]" -Wikipedia
• Car details
Has mid-high speed, 4 seats, advanced animations (explained below) and advanced sounds (also explained below).
• Car variants & colors
Has 1 variant and a total of 5 colors.
• How to open the doors
To OPEN the doors, right click the car and the doors will open. Right click again to get in.
To CLOSE the doors, right click WHILE shifting/crouching.
I've made a video showing how it's done so if you don't understand words, you can check that video out. The car used in the vid is the Integra DC2 I made a while back, but that shouldn't be a problem as the concept of opening and closing the doors is the same as this car (Mazda Luce HC)
• Advanced sounds
In total there are 5 sound effects for the cars. However, for this car, there are 2 sound effects that requires Minecraft's experimental settings. More details below. The list are as follows:
Startup sound effect - When the player sits in the car
Driving sound effect - When the player drives the car
Custom hit sound effect - When the car takes damage
Door closing sound effect - When the player closes the door
Door opening sound effect - When the player opens the door
The addon will still work like normal if you choose to not turn on the Experimental option (Holiday Creator Features), but you won't be able to experience the 2 sound effects mentioned above.
