Bedrock Performance Optimizer 2.5 Changelog

- A new BP called “Fixed Vanilla Mob Despawning”. This prevents vanilla mobs that just spawned from vanishing immediately once you look away. Basically in vanilla, animal or hostile mobs usually disappear immediately once your a few blocks away, like at 4 simulation distance they disappear as soon you are 16ish blocks away & with 12 simulation distance they disappear around 40 blocks away.

With this optional addon, now vanilla mobs will last longer and you can customize the despawn distance with the ingame config!

 

- A Major Performance Optimization option has been added to the Resource Pack, this option will save on GPU,  RAM and Bandwidth memory which in testing has made a major difference in FPS & Stability on Phones. By default its enabled but can be turned off. 

In testing the EDGE Subpack it did crash the phone once but after many more hours of testing the crash never occurred again so unsure if relate

 

- Rewrote the logic for despawning farm mobs, it should now work properly & even run better.

 

- Converted the main code to TypeScript

 

- Added a "Reset all configs" button to clear all config settings and use the defaults

 

- Added a dialog that asks for a reload

 

- Tridents no longer despawn pointlessly

 

- /function perf can also work for the config if you don't want to type /scriptevent perf:cfg

 

- Better Messages for UX

 

- Other improvements I can't specify in this changelog because we don't remember

when this addon updates do I need to re add the black listed mobs to the new config. so if two updates ago I blacklisted mobs to 2.4 config do I need to redo that for 2.5 or can I just use my edited config from 2.4

Yes, your config charges wont save between updates.

Also unrelated, have you tried my addonpack Arduous Journey?

I have tried to do it but my only problem I have found is that I have many addons already so it’s hard to try and put it together. but I am planning to write down the addons used so I can do it easier.

but I can tell it is an amazing pack by the addons used. personally I have used many of them in my own personal modpacks. and I can tell they fit together well

also will adding immersive combat break the pack at anyway. it’s a mod I use a lot myself and if it can be added without any major problems that could be pretty cool.

I highly reccomend this addon. before I couldn’t use more than 3 to 4 big overhaul packs like darkage bizzare catacysmical myths and magic and otherworldy with this addon enabled I can. I can use multiple big dungeon mods and lots more mods and the conquest texture pack without lag. it’s the best

I haven’t seen a date but he commented on his project saying soon and his YouTube shows a test which tells us before July possibly way sooner

can you add something like "if monster spawn by spawner the monster will not despawn or he will despawn after 30min/1H" it's will be better

It really does help this addon... tho, i have a question:
Honestly, i would like the arrows stay more than 10 seconds (Like, to make the arrows stay 20 or 30 seconds), so... how in the world i can edit the number to make the arrows do not despawn in 10 seconds?
Yeah i read everything, but i'm still confused, because i tried to uhh... edit the config.js and it didn't work lol

Bedrock wont recongize any changes to a file unless that bp has a new version number, go to the manifest and change the version number 1 up in the depedency, and title so you know it worked. then your world will be like "Oh this updated, let me reload everything" type shift

is there a way to add al mobs with 1 heart or less at the white list?? like addons chests?

I mean by my own in the config file, or I need to type entity by entity?

Simply add the mob id to the blacklist where the rest of the mobs already are

You can find the config in the behavior back, turn it into a zip, then extract it and go to the scripts

Make sure to write down your changes, next update the code is rewritten to fix issues and the config will be reset

its hard to find food like cows sheeps pigs.... its always despawn before i see them... sigh

Im an iOS player and I cant believe how much this helped. Ive had issues with really bad lag and stuttering for years and this is the only thing that has fixed it

Then use the config, you can see I already prevented many mobs from various addons from despawning but I cannot cover all addons.

Your free to get the mob id of every single moh that you dont want to despawn, such as bosses, and add them to the list.

If you do by the way, I wont mind taking the mob ids for bosses and important mobs you written down and put it as a default blacklist for the addon! I just dont have time to go through so many mob ids and so many different addons xd

I used tha behavior pack for a while and I found a problem. The fishing hook didn't take long to despawn and I fixed the code by making the projectile despawn time in 1 minute. I wish you add fix or try to make a config to change despawn time for projectiles
