I understand what you're saying but the bland texture is kinda their whole point...
cuz if its clean and bland it'll age much better and more over will look equally good on all texture packs a player might have, as you can see some of the pictures were taken in Minecraft's Default Texture pack and the other were in the Plastic Texture Pack by 4J studios
