to be honest I would build off of the current building but make it curve with the road for a modern and bigger look like an entrance, check in, and security building before the train connects to the terminals remove the original gates, and add like 30 new ones, and make a glass bridge maybe

hope you make the airport way larger with multiple terminals and a connecting train to connect all of them heavily focused on curves and modern glass architecture. I would personally use the Subway train for this since it has a modern design, and also maybe make it double engine, 1 for each end.
