Welcome to the zoo! This is an attempt at making a 1:1 scale recreation of the Detroit Zoo, located in Royal Oak, Michigan. Keep in mind this is still a work in progress so not everything is complete.

I will be making version 2.0 instead. There's a lot of things wrong with the map so I need to redo almost everything on the map.

Can you make one without all of the mods on it? I already have them and it makes it difficult to add the world because of the duplicate pack problem.

I'm actually planning on redoing the entire zoo from scratch and I won't be using any mods or resource packs because I noticed quite a few people have trouble importing it. I am very busy with school though, so it will take a while for me to finally get it uploaded here. I will try my best to get it uploaded here ASAP!!!!

This is not something I meant to put in the world, it is just something that has been in the game since the Nether Update. It is completely normal to hear that!

I'm making the zoo to match its current state. Unless the Detroit Zoo decides to make enclosures for these two animals, I will not make them.

Yes, I have the same problem as well. I believe it might be one or more of the add-ons or texture packs.

Update: if you remove the Expansion+ resource and behavior packs you will be able to see your friends. It will only remove a few animals from the zoo

So I downloaded it, but the problem is that the world won't import. Whenever I download a mod, I open the file using Minecraft then it would import. Does this work on mc maps too? (also about the bottom link: did you intentionally send me to a website about zoos?

I’m sorry you’re having problems with the world, this is the first day I’ve heard someone have issues with importing the world. My guess is either you haven’t updated Minecraft recently, or it’s something with the platform you’re on. Otherwise it should work fine

Hi when I finished it and tried opening it on Minecraft Education Edition, it said that 'a newer version of the game has saved this level. it cannot be loaded. Unable to connect to world. What does this mean?

I was trying to make it good adding more plants and I am working on.a safari /also a new big cats place / I finished the reptiles house /I was thinking of turning the swan lake into alligators and ect

I got both the addons from the website. The three that are used are Expansion+, yCreatures, and yFarm Animals (Idk if that's the name). The download links for yCreatures and yFarm Animals are very annoying but worth it.

Thanks for feedback! Yes, I am planning on adding that to the zoo. I just skipped it because last time I attempted building it, it went terribly.

Hey you should make your own addon then think about which animals to putt like the tarantula in the reptile section and adding crocodile etc.

Yes, someone is helping me do that to make the zoo feel more like the real think. Also, I’m not putting a tarantula in the reptile house. It’s an invertebrate so it doesn’t belong there.
