how to smelt iron?
1
it would be great if it can be updated and more content like an interim armour or tool sets before netherite and textures that make armour look cool

I've been playing the mod and enjoying it A LOT. I just have one question: How do I get salt? And, if I use the other materials, does the crafting process work the same way as with copper (nugget, ingot, material plate, and then tools)?
1
It would be interesting to see rose gold metal to give gold something more. Though it is an alloy i would wonder if you would still consider it.
1
Also, could you add a config that would return certain actions, like being able to mine iron with copper tools/stone, and return certain recipes to vanilla if possible. Id like to have vanilla progression that may incorporate this stuff but its still usually based on vanilla and the addon isnt really to follow
1
sneak peak, I'm working on 2 projects right now, one of them is a lite version of the pack that calms down some of the progression/recipe changes and the other is the next update to metallurgy which will include a new alloying system and a few new metals that are not required for progression but could be helpful or fun.

Where to get salt even?, im confused on where to get it

I'd like to report a few bugs / things

Full bronze gives more armor than full iron, and so does full steel give more armor than full diamond.
Diamond sword is weaker than steel sword, even though it's harder to get.

When i tried out the rucksack it felt like a weaker bundle cause it used up a chestplate spot aswell, and when i logged back in all the items in it were gone. Guess it was hungry, lol.

Also, some higher tier swords do the same damage as the sword right before it.

that's all I've seen throughout the mod, it's well made, but I do think the guide should also mention that higher tier furnaces have a better yield than the one before it, cause it can cause a bit of confusion especially since it'd be more efficient to use campfires rather than brick kilns if it weren't for the better yield the kiln has (3 compared to 1)
1
only one can imagine what I felt when I realized i could've gotten triple the profits from a raw copper but wasted it on campfires, lmao.
1
There's only so much i can do. I didn't quite notice some of the large differences between different tiers of armor and their durability/damage, which will be fixed so thank you very much. I have known about the rucksack for some time now and am working for a fix currently. thank you for letting me know, it's very appreciated

Hello! Cool addon, could you please make it so it's possible to show coordinates instead of the coordinate display disabled, please? I'm making a longterm world with his addon on and not being able to see coordinates is bothersome in case of nether highways or such, thanks!
1
The coordinates are no longer displayed because of some new items added that give players access to individual coordinates. They do need some more work and I also realize I should've made a page in the guidebook that explains the new navigational equipment. I will take the suggestion into consideration when improving upon them

Hey! I know it's too much to ask but can u make a setting that toggles on and off the starter items or progression system or something like that, the reason is I want am making a dino mod pack and I am using metallurgy and utility craft, and they are not compatible with each other due to metallurgy removing wooden and stone tools but metallurgy needs a wooden or stone hammer to start with it's progression.Hope u can respond as soon as u can with an answer
1
Sadly it would be very difficult to add in game toggles for recipes, and there is only so much I am willing to give the player at the start of the game due to the main purpose of the addon being "make game hard"
I am way more than willing to add compatibility to metallurgy for more addons, it is something I want this addon to exceed at.
I will try to add more compatibility with that addon in the next patch!

is this still working
1
Currently it is not but an update will be out soon 🤞
