Upcoming Addon Rebranding

In a future update, Rustic Agriculture will be renamed to simply Rustic.

We want to announce this change in advance so players can begin familiarizing themselves with the new name and prepare for the transition.

The addon has grown far beyond its original focus on agriculture. While farming remains a core part of the experience, Rustic now includes many features that extend into other areas of gameplay.

This rebranding will also allow the project to evolve into a modular ecosystem. Once Rustic reaches a more complete and polished state, additional addons may be released as separate expansions that depend on Rustic to function.

Potential future expansions include:

  • Rustic Agriculture
  • Rustic Carpentry
  • Rustic Cooking
  • And many other themed modules

The goal is to make Rustic the foundation of a larger collection of interconnected addons while allowing each expansion to focus on its own unique theme and gameplay mechanics.

Changelog v2.2.4:

Iron Lattice Rework

  • Iron Lattice now uses the minecraft:connection trait for cardinal connections.
  • Updated the Iron Lattice texture.
  • Iron Lattice can now be decorated with any type of leaves. Simply interact with the lattice while holding leaves to attach them. To remove the leaves, interact with the lattice using an empty hand while sneaking.
  • Updated the Iron Lattice block sound effects.
  • Adjusted the collision box for every possible Iron Lattice state to make collisions as accurate as possible.
  • Adjusted the selection box for every possible Iron Lattice state to improve player interaction.

Note

  • Some internal Iron Lattice IDs have been changed. It is recommended to break and replace existing Iron Lattice blocks after updating.

Slab Rework

  • Reworked all addon slabs to behave exactly like vanilla slabs.

This includes:

  • Creating double slabs from any valid placement interaction.
  • Matching vanilla item display behavior in inventories, first-person view, third-person view, item frames, and shelves.

Some minor adjustments are still needed and will be addressed in future Minecraft updates.

Known Issues

  • Breaking a double slab currently drops only 1 item instead of 2.
  • If a slab is placed in the bottom half of a block and then converted into a double slab, torches cannot be placed on top of it.

Breaking Change

The IDs of four blocks have been changed to better match vanilla naming conventions:

  • Sandstone Brick Stairs
  • Sandstone Brick Slab
  • Red Sandstone Brick Stairs
  • Red Sandstone Brick Slab

If these blocks are already placed in your world, it is recommended to remove and replace them after updating.

Stair Improvements

  • Addon stairs now behave much more similarly to vanilla stairs.

Known Issues

  • UV lock is not correctly applied to stair textures.
  • Addon stairs do not connect to vanilla stairs.

Block Connectivity Improvements

  • A large number of addon blocks now explicitly define whether they should connect to other blocks.
  • Many blocks now use minecraft:support to specify whether support-dependent blocks can be attached to them (for example, placing torches on the sides of a block).
  • Improved trapdoor interactions with fences.

Table Improvements

  • Reduced the breaking time of tables from 2.5 seconds to 2.0 seconds.
  • Wooden tables now use the minecraft:connection trait for cardinal connections. This new system improves table interactions and significantly increases update speed when connecting to adjacent tables.

Note

The use of this trait allows tables to connect to full blocks and fences, which is not intended behavior. After evaluating the advantages and disadvantages, the benefits were found to outweigh the drawbacks.

Benefits include:

  • Instant connections with no delay.
  • Proper updates when moved by pistons.
  • Proper updates when affected by explosions.
  • Additional technical improvements behind the scenes.

As a result, this behavior will remain for the time being.

Caged Redstone Torch

  • Added a crafting recipe for the Caged Redstone Torch.
  • Fixed an issue where the Caged Redstone Torch would power the block it was attached to, creating an unintended redstone clock.

Lantern Improvements

  • Updated the textures of the Iron, Gold, and Copper Lanterns.
  • Adjusted the lantern collision boxes to be as accurate as possible.
  • Updated the lantern selection boxes.
  • Adjusted how lanterns are displayed when held in hand, dropped as items, and placed in item frames.

Plants & Environment

  • All herbs can now be snowlogged.
  • Wildberry Bushes can now be snowlogged.
  • Wildberry Bushes can now be placed in flower pots.
  • Adjusted the selection boxes of several herbs.

Food & Consumables

  • Consuming Cloudsbluff now applies a movement slowdown effect. However, players will still move faster compared to consuming most other foods.
  • Reduced the Cloudsbluff consumption cooldown from 4.0 seconds to 3.8 seconds.

In the latest version 2.1.0, when importing the packs, the title shows that it is version 2.0.0. Don't worry about this, it's just a visual issue; internally, the add-on is on version 2.1.0. This will be fixed in the next update.

Is it compatible with Action and Stuff. If not can you please make it compatible.

The container to put the fruits, and jumping is bugged; it doesn't work when you jump. If you have only one item, add infinite.

Thank you for reporting it. I will check it out, try to break it and put it somewhere else. This usually happens when there are updates.
