It's a really cool addition, giving the shield more utility, and I like that. You could also make it lose durability based on the number of blocks broken (if it's already like that, ignore this idea) and make the amount of damage dealt based on the damage of the sword held in the player's hand (if it's already like that, also ignore this idea). You could also make it break the foliage of trees if the player is holding a hoe; that would also be very useful.

I find it weird that a Shield Bash can mine and chop rather than just pushing or knocking foes away.

Am I missing some kind of reference here?

can u make separate version we’re it only damages other mobs and can’t break blocks I’d download that bc it’s a cool concept for rpg realms to have
