Tamable Foxes

Have you ever wanted a pet fox but using a lead felt too cruel or would they run away? Guess what! I bring you an addon that lets you tame foxes!

  • Foxes can be tamed with sweet berries due to this now to breed foxes you must tame them.
  • Foxes will follow you if you hold sweet berries like usual.
  • Tamed foxed can be sit down and have a collar around their neck.
  • Both variants of the fox (arctic and red) can be tamed.
  • Tamed foxed now attack mobs that attack you!
  • Baby foxes bred from tamed foxes will not be automatically tamed.

P.S Next Update will make it so that you can dye the collars :)

Great addon. however, I have a question. Will the tamed foxes work with texture packs? like if I tame one, will it just revert to the vanilla texture with a collar on it? or is the collar like an overlay that is separate from the fox texture? I would like to use the resource pack that makes foxes' eyes look less derpy but not if they just revert back once tamed.

If you use a texture pack but the foxes wouldn't show their collars.

It looks good, but I would like to know how you managed to make the necklaces work for them (I've been trying to learn how and it's impossible for me, did you use overlays so that the necklaces can be dyed or is it that they are only a secondary texture)?

Could you please make it that at night, similar to cats when you go to sleep the foxes will sleep in your bed, just a really cute feature.

Great addon, but can you make foxes attack stuff for you? Caue in vanilla minecraft if you get a fox to trust you, they attack mobs that hurt you.

"Tamed foxed do not attack mobs for you, I mean come on who expects foxes to fight zombies!"
If you "tame" a fox in vanilla and a mob hits you the fox will attack it.

This is cool but you need to be more creative try to add more tamable variants like dragon fox, frost fox, etc...
You also need to give them their own armor so they can be more stronger and their defense points can go higher

The addon is meant to retain the vanilla theme so I won't add the dragon fox, frost fox etc. They will probably be added in a separate addon. However I like the idea of armor. Thanks for your feedback

Listen man, don't add those dragon foxes and stuff because it doesn't give that tameable vanilla feel to it and it will just messed up the addon and I won't like that because it doesn't give that normal vanilla feeling and just adds all kinds of fantasy stuff to the foxes and no nature feel like it's supposed to be

Ok may be you should add the Armor part bit but no variants like dragon fox and frost fox etc.. it will be really good
