TheCrazyCodr's Miner's Luck

This addon is a general mining activity improvement that doesn't go too far. You'll love the improvements it provides without going too far and making the game completely unbalanced. What you'll find in this addon:

  • Several hats to search for ore more easily
  • A backpack to get rid of accumulated stone

What do you mean by mining?

Most players will do this several times and relatively consistently in Minecraft, they create a shaft via stairs or a well and then create various branches or corridors to mine in straight lines to hunt for ores, mostly for diamond. This activity in itself can be very rewarding but also very frustrating.

Seeking helmets

Seeking helmets come in different flavours to seek different ores:

  • Coal seeker's helmet,
  • Copper seeker's helmet,
  • Iron seeker's helmet,
  • Same goes for: Gold, Redstone, Lapis Lazuli, Diamond, Emerald and even Ancient Debris.

These helmets are all built with the same approach but you just need to swap the seeked ore. To build one, you need:

  • 5 gold ingots in the shape of a standard helmet,
  • 1 torch in the top middle slot,
  • 2 ores that you are seeking on the top corners.

By wearing the helmet of your choice, small particles of the color that you are looking for may appear around you when there is the seeked ore nearby. These particles lead you to ore deposits for you to mine them. The range is limited, coal being much larger with up to 7 blocks away while diamonds can be found up to 5 blocks away.

Seeker helmets will break after sensing 1000 blocks for the cheaper ores and 128 blocks for the more precious ores. This breaking is only to limit the power provided by such a tool as it will still be very good investment in all cases. This weakening can be limited by removing the hat when not in use to avoid finding ores that you don't plan to mine.

Seeker's backpack

Are you tired of picking up cobbled stone or cobbled deepslate while you are mining? Wish your inventory wasn't full of it all the time? Wish you could get rid of it easy? The Seeker's backpack to the rescue. The backpack is a special chestplate that when equiped will scan your inventory for stacks of cobblestone and cobbled_deepslate. If it finds any stack of 64, it immediately burns it up. Everytime you burn a stack, you lose 1 durability and the bag lasts 128 times. Here's how you craft one:

  • 1 Leather chestplate,
  • 1 bucket of lava.

Upcoming features

There are already plans for improving this addon by adding two more features:

  • The Seeker's lucky threads: As you walk, you get a chance of spawning clusters of ores in a nearby wall,
  • The Seeker's shafter: Place this block and it will create a shaft down to a certain level.
