I was testing the new update and came across something odd: every time I upgraded the backpack, invisible items would appear inside the inventory and the backpack's: "locked slot." Also, after a while, the items I had in the backpack disappeared—including the crafting upgrade. I hope these bugs can be reviewed and fixed; it’s a great add-on.

Ok thanks.
1 - You need to be crouching to place it; if you're standing, it cancels the placement action.
2 - I'm fixing this bug; I noticed it while working on the new update.

Does backpack inside a backpack works? Also, does the backpacks count as an entity when placed, because I have an add on that despawns entity quicker to reduce lag and I don't want the backpack to disappear as soon as I leave the area.

Yes, you can put a backpack inside other, i forget to fix it...
And yes, it use an entity, all of backpacks or any storage addon use entity to have that screen with slots, don't has other way to do it at the moment.

hi, so, I wanted to comment this bug that happen to me and my sister playing. I upgraded my backpack with some boundaries full, and all the stuff inside just disappear 🫠... this only happens to me, not the other person...

but then is this bug: we entered to the nether and tried to use the backpack, it jumped a message saying that there's a error and deleted all the stuff inside the backpack (this to my sister) I waited till I was in the oversold to open my backpack so this would not happen to me, but

I just went to the overwold and the same msg jumped, that there were some error and the stuff inside the backpack is gone, I just don't know why this happened, but I hope there would be a fix in the future for others, so they don't go through the same TT

Yes, this bug was fixed on v0.1.2.
Now every time a backup is make, so this shouldn't happen anymore
(Check if you are in this version, in game it show v0.1.1 i forget to change sorry).

I don't think i undestood what you want, that already happens, I mentioned it above.
If you have a Leather backpack (1st tier) and use the Netherite Upgrade (Last tier), you skip all the previous stages like copper, iron, gold and diamond.
You just need to craft the upgrades
