Vanilla Chinese Characters and Full-Width Punctuation Characters Fix

If you are a player who use Chinese, Japanese or Korean, do you think there is a problem with the rendering of punctuation marks, Chinese characters, Japanese kana, and Korean alphabet (Hangeul)? Punctuation marks, Chinese characters, Japanese kana, and Korean alphabet in CJK languages are supposed to be full-width, but Minecraft renders them incorrectly as different widths. This resource pack fixes this problem and lets you to see that the game renders those characters correctly.

Here are two examples:

  • Test string 1:
    In game:
  • Test string 2:
    In game:

As you can see from the test string above, all the chinese characters and punctuation characters in the text string take up the same width, while most of them in game does not have the correct width.
위의 테스트 문자열에서 볼 수 있듯이 텍스트 문자열의 모든 한자와 구두점은 같은 너비를 차지하지만 게임에서 대부분은 너비가 정확하지 않습니다.

This problem has been fixed in Java Edition 1.18, but remains unfixed in Bedrock Edition.
