When it comes to the netherrack texture, It has been quite a controversial topic over the passing years, Since the 1.14 update which overhaul the whole game texture changed netherrack. An arguably big amount of people says that the new one looks too clean whilst the old one which supposed to resembles flesh fits alot better into the theme of nether.
