First of all, It could definitely benefit from a size increase, that way it'll feel more spacious, coz now everything feels a bit too tight in terms of width, except for the captain's room, which will benefit from a length increase . The width increase could probably complement the aestetics a bit more and you could do a lot more with the ship, which brings me to my second point:
Give it some working parts, especially the cannons, it could be as simple as using a dispenser to give it a reason that isn't aesthetic related to be there, like heck, you could potentially give the ship a combat mode where the entire bridge section( or in this case , the captain's room) is moved to a more secure area , like the battleship Minerva from gundam seed destiny( i think most of their ships have that but I don't quite remember tbh)
As for the remaining spaces, you could think in the direction of the intended population of the ship(i.e. the ships crew capacity), and put yourself in the situation where you have to be on a ship for months and what facilities do you need on board in order to survive a war.
Also, Here's something you might also wanna think about, I do find it frustrating when a good build is only made available within the confinements of the world it's built in, the new function command could spawn prebuilt structures in any world so long as you make it an addon, that way I could spawn this ship on another world and build a full blown navy fleet outta it . Now I don't know about the details of how the whole command thing works , but it'll be very useful if it's done.
For what it is right now I think you have a pretty solid framework to work with, keep it up!
On another note, it'll be nice to make a texture pack featuring the crosshair you had in the world's texture pack, Coz I could really use a crosshair when I'm throwing a snowball using a touchscreen.
