With this addon, You get to meet an abandoned mob head-on. And that mob, Is non other than the Illusioner, An unused type of pillager. Re-created to closely resemble the original concept.

Well yes it is inaccurate, But it's the best I can do trying to replicate it, If you don't know, Minecraft bedrock edition is far more different than java, You don't have as much freedom when making mods/addons. So it's about trying to take different paths in order for ideas to work.

Good but why not just add a new projectile that spawns the clones instead of replacing the shulker bullet?

Its extremely difficult to do so, I can use a crappy 2d disc of a texture as the projectiile but it wont look good and wont act like a shulker bullet which weaves around walls.
