suggestion: while your armor has chainmail on it, it gains the same properties of other armor, like leather’s armor to keep you from frostbite and falling into powdered snow

Maybe you should be able to layer leather armor, or just the boots so you can walk on snow, then turtle helmet. Just to add decision making to the player on what gear he should his armor with.

The chainmail armor cost 10 durability per damage and it's not accurate compared to the video above.

Tested the mod with 3 different sets of armor, one from another addon, the chainmail itself does very minimal to add any protection. but the trick here is that it can provide extra enchantment bonuses.
You CAN stack two sets of protection 4 onto each piece of armor this way which DID reduce the damage I took from a wither skeleton.
This addon isnt going to let you slap a chainmail under leather and have it be awesome armor, though you could enchant both of them and THEN itd do what you think itd do and protect you more., though with the fact the chainmail CAN still break and it has low durability, so unless the chainmail can be improved some way I dont exactly see this being better than just some other modded armor. Cool as it is with vanilla armor and getting those last bits of awesome protection though.

Now with the new update.. broken, chainmail can no longer be equipped to reinforce armor.
