can you add hierarchal ranks? like if i rank myself with member, i could make it hierarchal, and then if i also rank myself with owner and set it to be hierarchal, it will not show the [Member] tag in chat and only the [Owner]? i dont know if this is possible but if it is please add it

Unfortunately no, there is no way (as far as I know) to block minecraft default commands like /w or /tell.

using § and then a character will make all the text after into a different color. §f is white, §e is yellow and other stuff like §l is bold and §o is italic §r resets and §k makes your eyes hurt

Im not sure if you are asking for commands hot to get yourself rank or how the ranks work. So let me tell you both. To get rank, use command like "/tag @s add rank:Admin" - this will give you Admin rank before your name. If you are asking how its work, its not using commands. Its done by using javascript.

Yes! You can assign multiple rank tags like rank:Admin and rank:Builder, and the addon will display them in order in the chat like [Admin] [Builder]. Just add all the desired rank: tags to the player.
