The ground should be all sand, everything should be dead, there shouldn't be water anywhere on the map, except for the cacti, the only good living thing should be them! With an added benefit, they can be squeezed to obtain water, a minuscule amount just enough to stay alive initially...

a clay or wooden bucket would be cool

if you click on a double chest with a wrench it deletes all the items inside and also takes a chest
