You could ask rayion, he added armor toughness to his custom armor and his elytra chestplates mod.

Before the mod is finished, I think the armor should receive a buff. Due to armor toughness, the enderite armor chestplate protects from less damage than a diamond or netherite chestplate and same with all other pieces. The mod either needs resistance or armor toughness implemented to make it better
