Tiny Takeover Support!
- Over 39 mobs with baby variants have been updated with the new look introduced in the Tiny Takeover drop! Some mobs have also received unique animations for their baby variants.
- Some baby mobs now have unique hurt and death sounds!
- The Rabbit morph has also received a complete makeover, with brand new models, textures, and animations for both the adult and baby variants!
- Due to game bugs and limitations, armor and hand-held items that previously rendered on baby humanoid mobs (e.g. Baby Zombie) are no longer visible. Additionally, custom animations such as sleeping and swimming animations have not yet been adjusted for the new baby models.
[NEW!] Morph Command!
- The /event command for morphing is no more! A new command specifically made to morph players into certain mobs has been added! The use of the /event command was an unofficial way to change player's mob forms, which could be risky as it can cause issues if used incorrectly.
- The syntax may look something like these:
- /morph @s minecraft:warden
- /morph @s "minecraft:villager_v2[biome=snow]"
- /morph @s "minecraft:sheep[age=baby,color=green]"
- Double quotation marks should be added in the syntax if mob properties are included in the ID to avoid errors with command input.
- The command also allows players to hide the morphing sounds and particles when transforming into mobs by adding `false` at the end of the syntax:
- /morph @s minecraft:zombie false
- Further improvements to the command are planned for the future to provide a smoother user experience, especially for mobile players. Any feedback on the command in our Discord server would be greatly appreciated!
Morph Menu
- The design of the morph menu has been updated! The UI is now a modal window (previously a fullscreen UI) that also includes a render of the player's current morphed model.
- Improved the way the add-on modifies server form UIs. It is now made to be compatible with other add-ons that also modify this UI without having any compatibility issues.
Gameplay Changes
- Spider and Cave Spider morphs' climbing abilities have been significantly improved! The game now correctly checks for block collisions and accurately replicates the movements and controls of a player climbing a ladder.
- Pufferfish morph's inflation ability has been updated to finally match the new mob changes from version 1.21.70.
- Rabbit morph's quick movement ability has been removed.
Visual Changes
- The tooltips of items obtained when morphing into certain mobs have been changed from "Morphing Bracelet" to "Attached to: <Mob name>" to clearly indicate which mob the item came from.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Metamorphing Bracelet was non-functional in version 0.3.1.
- Fixed several issues related with the Shulker morph, including a bug that prevents players from morphing into Shulker variants.
- Fixed a bug where the Drowned morph's attack damage is 0.5 hearts, instead of 1.5 hearts like the vanilla mob.
- Fixed a bug where the armor model was visible when morphed into a non-humanoid adult mob.
- Fixed a bug where the adult Fox's eyes were not closed when sleeping.
Page Changes
- The "Mobs Information" list has been updated to reflect the latest features.
Morphing System Backend Rework!
This rework was like breaking every bone in your body and rebuilding it from the ground up into a stronger, improved structure. It was riskier and far more extensive than the Resource Pack Rework in the last update, which was more like plastic surgery by comparison. The changes listed below are mostly technical-side changes for the add-on, you can skip it anyway.
- The add-on's morphing system has moved away from using entity JSON events (can be seen through the /event command) to having its own custom system built from the ground-up, with each entity having their own properties (e.g. color of the sheep, "minecraft:sheep[color=blue]").
- The "morph-functions.js" and "conditions-parser.js" script files have been renamed to "entity-methods.js" and "condition-evaluator.js" respectively. These files also have received a complete rework for the new morphing system.
- The player events "morph:reset" and "morph:transform" have been reworked and renamed to "morphing_bracelet:clear_components" and "morphing_bracelet:add_components" respectively.
- The "morph:reset" player component group that was used to reset certain components back to their default values has been renamed to "morphing_bracelet:default_component_values".
- The "morph:entity" player entity property that handles what type of mob a player is morphed into got its namespace migrated from "morph" to "morphing_bracelet".
- The "morphing_bracelet:entity" player entity property now does not rely on a negative integer as a value in the property to tell if a player entity hasn't been initialized yet to have human characteristics. Instead, the add-on now uses the "isInitialized" dynamic property that is attached to the player entity.
And 10+ unlisted technical changes!
