This addon adds several variations and new types of items and equipment that can help you survive in a dangerous world. And also this mod designed not far from vanilla style.

Iron and gold - resistance 1 and slowness 1
Diamond - resistance 2 and slowness 1
Netherite resistance 3 and slowness 2
Slowness bc is heavy armor. Resistance is already op. Each level gives you 20% damage reduction.
Edit: I personally think that wooden armor shouldn't exist as it wouldn't be properly functional. You'd have low manoeuvrability and it'd barely protect you. At least rekove heavy wooden armor as it is just stupid having wooden armor give you resistance. And heavy wooden swords should have a bit durability as you're swinging wood around with a large amount of power.
