v1.15.41 - Hotfix - What’s new?

Systems

  • Bug fix: Properly fixed an issue that duplicated items when using attribute swap.
  • Bug fix: Fixed an issue that broke the entire durability system.
  • Bug fix: Fixed an issue that prevented some tools from mining anything.

Others

  • Improved some textures.

Equipment

  • Broad Tools: Now have a 0.5x mining speed multiplier (rounded down), mining at half the normal speed.
  • Farm Tools and Multi-Tools: Now have a 0.75x mining speed multiplier (rounded down), mining at 3/4 the normal speed.

  • Spears: Fixed hit animation.
  • Magnifying Glass: Block and entity information is now displayed near the crosshair.
  • Forged Tools: Removed. They will be replaced by vanilla tools while preserving most data.
  • Broad Tools: Fixed the use limit when enchanted with Unbreaking.
  • Weapons:
    • Removed durability bonus.
    • Tool handles are no longer required for crafting.
  • Armor: Added chainmail variants for metals with nuggets.
  • Multi-Tools:
    • Added Pickel (Pickaxe + Shovel).
    • Added Hoxe (Hoe + Axe).
    • Renamed “Pulaski” to “Paxe”.
  • Battle Axes: Reduced damage by 1.
  • Minor balance adjustments.

Please add quattro’s/ninja stars!!

They can have the same physics as wind charges, but deal damage like the tiers of materials… they stack to 16, you craft them by making a + or X shape of the material, and replacing the middle with either air or string or slime balls… one crafts into 8 stars. They can he enchanted with loyalty, unbreaking and mending.

Types:

1. Copper (1 durability)
2. Gold (1 durability)
3. Rose gold (1 durability)
4. Iron (1 durability)
5. Steel (2 durability)
6. Netherite scraps (3 durability)

The best two will be able to benefit from mending as well. The others have to get lucky with unbreaking in order to be reusable. They should also be tippable in cauldrons (and obtainable with commands with these effects)

VERY COOL update idea
a good idea for this addon/mod that i think suits this mod a lot would be to add metallurgy similar to tinkers construct
if you do noy know what metallurgy is or what tinkers construct is it is pretty much melting down metals or ores into liquid form to shape them into tools or weapons
this could replace the smithing template crafting recipes with melting down the metals an putting them into moulds that could be found in the archaeology sites
this addition could also add much more realistic alloys(steel, Rose gold) with instead of crafting together you could melt them into liquids and mix them together in a basin or something
im sorry if this is too complex or something to add but i would love to see this added

Hey! The expansion ended up being blocked by Curse Forge, I still don't understand why. But it's available on Discord. I believe it will be back to normal soon.

I really like this mod yet i feel like the weapons types get extremely outshined by others.
(example: sword against broadsword. and the broadsword itself against the battleaxe.)
(not the daggers and scythes since those have their own ''niche'' uses)

also a toggle for the tiered maces would be cool since it doesnt really make the normal mace more desirable.

Hey! Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it. You made a fair point about some weapon types being overshadowed by others. I'm always looking to improve balance, so I'd love to hear your suggestions. What changes do you think could help give each weapon its own identity and niche?

Has the hotfix been uploaded? The bug with the wooden hammer and durability is still there. Although it might be a cache issue or something that happened during the import.

It looks like I found a bug. I used the tools, and their durability doesn't decrease when I use them, only when I hit a mob. The wooden hammer doesn't break anything; it can't mine stone.

Thanks for the update. The new template system looks good in theory; I just need to test it out gradually. In conclusion, I really like the changes and implementations in this version. I hope that in a future update you can implement what I mentioned earlier about the Sweeping Edge enchantment.

To make it more like Java combat, you could add the Sweeping Edge enchantment, respecting the sweep damage per level relative to the sword's base damage: Level 1: +50% Level 2: +67% Level 3: +75%

There are addons like Raiyon's More Enchantments that implement the swept edge enchantment, although not with percentages, and seeing that here they do work based on percentages, I thought you could make it much more similar to the Java version.

So does the latest version actually change all cooldowns for every type? (So not just for spear tiers? (Gold=fast, netherite=slow?)

Hello! For now, the cooldown is defined by type, so all items of a given type have the same cooldown. This can be changed in the settings. In the upcoming updates I'll add the spear cooldown variantion...

If there were a way to convert some templates into others, that would be great. Sometimes I'm looking for a specific one and it's very difficult to find. Adding a conversion recipe would be very useful. For example, by putting it into the stone cutter, it could be converted into other templates.

I wish there was a more practical way to get the upgrades; I've been looking for a specific one for a long time and can't find it. I've been using this addon for over a year, and another slightly annoying thing these days is having a weakness when using a tool or weapon.

The weakness and mining fatigue is a feature from the combat system.
