How to use Reinforced brewing stand?

My discord is 'tristelaar', if you have anymore questions or it still doesn't work, send me a message on discord (if you have discord that is)

First add fuel, you do this by clicking the reinforced brewing stand with blaze powder. After that you add a large bottle filled with water and then add ingredients to make the potion you want. Make sure you have both the resource pack and behaviour pack installed and applied to your world.

very cool addon! I downloaded it and messed around with it, and I really like the execution. I think it's very well made, ESPECIALLY for a FIRST addon. Definitely gonna use this in survival. also, are imbued bottles SUPPOSED to turn into normal bottles when used?

however… I do have one complaint, and I won't lie, it's kind of a tism complaint, but I really think the big bottle should only be seen if there's currently a potion in the reinforced brewing stand.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, the infused bottle is supposed to turn into a normal large bottle. With the duration buffs, potions now are already pretty strong and with infused it gets even more insane. After brewing, the heart of the sea in the bottle loses its power, so it's a one time bottle. Since heart of the sea is a limited resource, it actually feels expensive and not a potion you can spam when you want. I'll probably turn it into powerless dust or something in the future, to give a better idea it's "used up". I also definitely have plans to improve the reinforced brewing stand further. Now it's just 2 blocks, but if I can make the bottle its own block, I could change it depending on what the player does, like having no bottle, or changing colours to show what potion is being made.

No problem! I just thought it was great and wanted to try and give some honest feedback on it. I really love how vanilla it feels (I look for that a lot in most addons), the art is pretty decent (the vials look a bit strange, but it's not like, the of the world)

and Ive just been DYING for a good alchemy addon for a WHILE. if I were to make a suggestion, I think it would be really cool if you made potions for effects that don't have one, like Haste, or levitation, or absorption. but in the end it's up to you. keep up the good work brother. sorry for yapping

I really appreciate any feedback or suggestions, that's something I haven't really had a lot so I'm really grateful for it. I wanted to make the vial texture a bit more primitive, so I used the amethyst shard as the base. I want it to look like it has less fluid so it corresponds with the idea that duration is shorter. Personally, it has grown on me a bit, but I'll probably revisit it sometime. I just don't want it to look like glass. I could definitely add more vanilla effect as potions. I've experimented a bit with levitation to make a potion that works well with the elytra, but I wasn't satisfied with the result, so I scrapped it for now. The idea was it gave you a high level of levitation, you would go really high and at the end it would launch you forward, but with fireworks in the game, it didn't feel worth it. I would like to add fully custom potions at some point, but the fact that is wouldn't show up in the effect tab when playing annoys me, since it feels a lot like it's improvised.

If you haven't noticed yet, I added more potions like you suggested. I included: Haste, Nausea, Blindness, Levitation and Mining Fatigue. Just a heads up if you're interested :)

Also, sorry for not seeing this sooner. For some reason, the app doesn't notify me when someone replies to my comments. i guess it could be something on my end.Maybe it's my fault somehow, but I don't know

No problem! It just that when you get excited about it, I get excited as well. Progress has been a bit slow this last week, but I have some very cool plans, I hope to release the next update this week with some cool new additions.

As I said before, adding potions for effects that don't have any. Maybe effects like maybe an absorption potion that you could craft with a golden apple, or a conduit power potion made with a Nautilus shell, a health boost potion made with an enchanted golden apple,

or maybe a saturation potion made with a dandelion. Or the golden dandelion (when the drop releases),

Also, on the more technical side of things. I think the potions and big water bottle should be able to interact with the cauldron. Like if you have a large potion, and interact with a cauldron, then it would empty by one, and fill the cauldron by one.

And maybe the infused bottle could become a normal large bottle and give you a "blue dust" that you could make into EXP bottles. So you're not constantly having your inventory filled with useless scrap every time you want to use infused potions unless you want it, then useless, crap, which is fine

And, if you ever decide to look back on the completely custome potions idea, then maybe you could stuff like this,

A recall potion that teleports you back to your last set spawn or portal, it could be made with an ender pearl or echo shard. Could be good for deep cave or nether exploration. Or if you wanna explore super far from your base and not have to deal with maps or lodestone compasses

A thorns potion made with a cactus or a berry bush. Literally the thorns enchantment but in potion form.

or a glow potion that would create a radius of dynamic light around you for a few minutes. Each higher level would make the light radius bigger

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not sure if I'll add anymore vanilla effects as potions, maybe a hunger potion but that's probably it. The reason is that I don't want to take functions away from other items, like the golden apple. My only exception is the beacon because I don't like how limited its range is. For the cauldron interactions, that's sadly not possible, my first idea was to fill large potions by emptying 3 small potions into a cauldron an scooping a large bottle to fill it, but the game blocks me from reading what potion is inside the cauldron, that's the reason I made a custom brewing stand. I really like the empty infused to exp bottle idea, I'll definitely use that! I can definitely make some actual custom potions but they will probably have instant effects (like the teleport for example). But I'll have think a bit more about it all. This week I'll release the potion based blocks and small infused potions, than I want to work on the new potion mobs and after that I might work on a few custom potions. I still need to do something with the tipped arrows but I might remake them so I can easily add the new potion effects to them as well.
