v1.1.0 - The Specialist Update

This is a major update that introduces a completely new way to play!

🆕 New Features

  • Specialist Mode (Adaptive Stats): Added a new optional game mode.
    • Offensive: Attacking enemies has a chance to increase Strength, but may slightly decrease defense stats.
    • Defensive: Taking damage or using a shield increases Resistance or Vitality, but may decrease speed or strength.
    • Mobility: Sprinting continuously increases Agility, but tires you out (lowers combat stats).
  • Universal XP Compatibility: The XP system now dynamically calculates experience based on the target's Max Health. This means it is fully compatible with custom mobs from other Addons.
  • New Command: Added /scriptevent rpg:mode to toggle between "Classic Mode" (Manual Points) and "Specialist Mode" (Adaptive) without needing to restart the world.

🛠️ Changes & Tweaks

  • Menu Update: The main menu (ms:menu) now detects which mode is active.
    • In Specialist Mode, manual point allocation is locked to prevent cheating.
    • Added informational text describing current gameplay focus.
  • Progression Balance: Added a probability system to the Specialist Mode so stats don't increase instantly on every hit, ensuring balanced long-term progression.
  • Feedback: Added specific Actionbar messages when a stat increases automatically (e.g., "⚔️ Offensive Focus (STR ↑)").
  • Save System: Game mode preference is now saved permanently in the world data.

¡Esta es una actualización mayor que introduce una forma totalmente nueva de jugar!

🆕 Nuevas Características

  • Modo Especialista (Stats Adaptables): Se añadió un modo de juego opcional.
    • Ofensiva: Atacar enemigos tiene probabilidad de subir Fuerza, pero puede bajar stats defensivas.
    • Defensiva: Recibir daño o bloquear sube Resistencia o Vitalidad, pero puede bajar velocidad.
    • Movilidad: Correr (Sprint) sube Agilidad, pero reduce stats de combate (el personaje se enfoca en velocidad).
  • Compatibilidad Universal de XP: El sistema de XP ahora calcula dinámicamente la experiencia basada en la Vida Máxima del objetivo. Esto significa que es totalmente compatible con mobs personalizados de otros Addons.
  • Nuevo Comando: Se añadió /scriptevent rpg:mode para alternar entre "Modo Clásico" (Puntos Manuales) y "Modo Especialista" sin reiniciar el mundo.

🛠️ Cambios y Ajustes

  • Actualización del Menú: El menú principal (ms:menu) ahora detecta qué modo está activo.
    • En Modo Especialista, la asignación manual de puntos está bloqueada.
    • Se añadió texto informativo explicando el estilo de juego actual.
  • Balance de Progresión: Se añadió un sistema de probabilidad para que las stats no suban con cada golpe, asegurando una progresión equilibrada a largo plazo.
  • Feedback: Mensajes en la Actionbar cuando una stat sube automáticamente (ej: "⚔️ Enfoque Ofensivo (STR ↑)").
  • Guardado: La preferencia del modo de juego ahora se guarda permanentemente en los datos del mundo.

The resistance stat should be called endurance instead, since the current name is misleading. It actually affects recovery.

so is sword thrust The only magical skill we get??? if so please explain how I can implement the use of another mod pack towards my character's mana

thrust works on all weapons like axe,pickaxe,spear,hoe,shovel,trident and mace

It would be cool if this were compatible with a Magic Way addon.
Please lower the stat point gain from 5 to 3. At 50 stat points, you can currently kill an iron golem in four hits without even landing a critical hit, which feels excessive.
Also, the stat called “Luck” should probably be renamed to “Dexterity,” since it doesn’t provide effects similar to looting or village hero.
Lastly, the Defense and Vitality stats appear to be switched.

make a subpack called specialist edition where skills automatic increase and decrease base on player's action like,if the player is more on fighting offensively the stats slowly adjust to make the player strong on offense,but if the player always uses shield and takes more hit,defense also increases

but if the player is always running and jumping around doing parkour their stats also adjust for parkour increasing speed and decrease the other stats

thanks,but if you're confused about the defensive combat style,the player that always gets hit or always uses their shield in combat the defensive stats like vitality and defense increase and the other stats decrease

Would be greater with a stat to make It achievements frendly. I'm kidding. I really like your addon. Add some features, like a jump boost, etc...with future updates.

I think Jump Boost should be a skill rather than a stat. As a stat, it’s extremely overpowered, especially when used with a mace, since it can effectively be abused an unlimited number of times.
