I like that you have to manually reload the shotgun instead of just pressing a key and waiting for a reload animation to end, but there's a bug that prevents you from loading new shells into the shotgun after you fire a full magazine. Dropping it and picking it up again fixes it, but it's a bit annoying to have to do that every time.
Both the shotgun and shells function as bundle, so be mindful of the insertion order when reloading due to technical constraints.
Example (PC controls): You must first click and drag the shotgun onto shells - not shells onto the shotgun.
