Great world border! Some suggestions: Add a different settings for items (so they don’t get /killed with mobs). Also please add an option to make border damage bypass armor. Also please change the border damage so it can deal damage more often than every second (20 ticks).
Thank you! However, Bedrock is capped at 20-tick damage intervals. I could change the setting to 10 ticks, but it wouldn't actually increase the damage frequency in-game.
While a permanent fix isn't available yet, a temporary workaround is to switch from 1:8 to 8:1 mode, which sets the Nether and End to eight times the size of the Overworld. Alternatively, you can use the per-dimension option to manage it.
This is a pretty good addon, but I have a few suggestions like others. One of them being, can there be an option to increase the damage the further a player goes beyond the border? It'll match the java one more and make the damage option toggle more useful.
Yes, thank you so much, I didn't even think about that! If you could so I don't forget make a suggestion of everything you'd like to see in the addon on my discord?
if the radius of the border in each dimension is the same and i go through a portal in the nether at the edge of the border i come out outside the overworld border. is there any chance you could fix this?
Unfortunately, this issue cannot be fixed on my end due to how Minecraft functions. When you have a world border radius of 10,000 for every dimension and travel from the edge of the Nether back to the Overworld, Minecraft’s logic multiplies your coordinates by 8. This teleports you to 80,000 in the Overworld, which is far beyond the border, causing the addon to teleport you back inside.
The only way to resolve this is to set your Nether and End radii so that their coordinates, when multiplied by 8, do not exceed the Overworld limit. For example, if your Overworld radius is 10,000, setting the Nether and End to 1,250 ensures that even at the very edge, you will stay within the Overworld border upon return. To calculate this for your own setup, simply divide your Overworld radius by 8 to determine the maximum radius for the other dimensions.
● Works on 1.21.90 and up, including versions 26.0, 26.10, 26.11, 26.12, 26.13, and 26.13.
● It'll stay compatible with all future versions unless I mention an API change in the patch notes.
● This is 100% achievement friendly.
