Cake’s Cosmetic Pack
Select version for changelog:
2.3.0: The "Capes-O-Plenty" Update
Released on March 23 2025
This is the last update for the pack for a while. I want to do other stuff than develop this pack. And this update is HUGE. Probably bigger than the last one.
Also Minecraft Live was really cool, especially the visual overhaul and the summer drop.
COMPANION PACK
The next companion pack's theme are "Capes as Backbling". Here are the cosmetics:
- Purple Heart: The Heart floats and reacts to damage!
- Pancage: The syrup is cursed, which is why the pancakes are floating and why the syrup around the container is animated.
- Vanilla: Java and Bedrock, on your back.
- Realms Mapmaker: A tiny world on your back! The sun glows aswell!
- Translator Book: The most complex and best cosmetic I've ever done. Floats on back and has colourful enchanting particles ingame.
CHANGES AND ADDITIONS:
Unrelated to the pack but, Retook certain screenshots for the pack.
Removed the blood seen on the "Axed head" cosmetic.
FIXES:
Oh boy, this list is long.
When using the Character Creator Enabler, The cosmetic is now visible on certain servers such as the Hive... Kinda.
- It works but in default mode, You'll have to remove the cape for the cosmetic to be visible.
- Oddly enough, compatibility mode seems to be working differently in this update. More info is on the notes.
While using the Character Creator Enabler Pack, The cosmetic is now visible in the UI without a cape.
All cosmetics in the Weapons Companion Pack no longer throw content errors.
- However, the fix caused the "Quiver" and the "Sword & Shield" to use the default texture with the paperdoll. Why it doesnt affect the "Axed Head" cosmetic? Don’t know.
Duplicate folders wont appear if "Images.zip" wasnt unzipped on an Operating System other than MacOS and iOS.
The legs on the Placeholder Model now exactly matches the default player model.
Removed an extra cube on the "Modern Backpack" Cosmetics.
Fixed Typos in the Pack.
PACK DOCUMENTS:
This is even longer!
Changed notes referencing the rotated model.
- In short, the rotated model for back cosmetics has to be rotated via an animation is because it cant be rotated by changing the model... Kinda
- Its quite inconsistent. Sometime, it does, while other times, it doesnt. So ill say it doesnt work
Change description both in and out of all the packs to improve clarity. Here are the changes:
- Cosmetic Pack: Added "If you want to use a companion pack, make sure it is placed ABOVE this pack."
- Companion Pack Pre-Subpacks: "Must be used with Cake's Cosmetic Pack BELOW the companion pack." -> "Apply ABOVE Cake's Cosmetic Pack."
- Companion Pack Subpacks: "This must be used with Cake's Cosmetic Pack to enable the cosmetic." -> "Apply ABOVE Cakes's Cosmetic Pack to avoid issues."
- Sample Models: Added "To avoid issues, place this pack above Cake's Cosmetic Pack."
On the "Character Creator Enabler" Companion Pack, Slighty restructured the pack.
Added "cos_" for custom model in the Companion Packs to avoid packs with similar names.
Changed Uuid in order to prevent replacing the pack’s contents.
Changed Version number to 2.3.0.
NOTES:
The lack of character creator skin on compatibility mode with the "Character Creator Enabler" seems to be a Minecraft bug, as it worked on 1.21.50, but is broken on 1.21.60.
The Translator Book particles require some more polish, but its fine as it is. The polish will be at a later date.
Turns out, ever since the release of "Cake's Backpacks", i kinda fixed MCPE-126660. Not fully, cause it has more issues than first person. Want an example? Go check Java/Console Aspects player animations (dont steal however).
The reason why the particles dont appear on the UI with the "Translator Book" particles is because the crashes if it even is called.
Now that im done with this update, there wont be anymore for a while. Mainly because i want to focus on other things.

Anyway, the pack has reached over 10k downloads! Thank you to all of you who tried it out, either short term, or long term.
Sadly, there won’t be any updates for Cake’s Cosmetic Pack for a while, but I’m not done making bedrock resource packs! Stay tuned!
If for whatever reason it isn’t, it should be the one who’s name is “cakescosmeticpack.mcpack”
I know it’s a long way but, I want to focus on other things than Cake’s Cosmetic Pack
In the meantime, you could try to make it yourself in the tutorial that is provided in this page under the “Tutorials” section
I’m not trying to be mean, but give it a go atleast. Heck, you can modify my wings cosmetic since you only needed horns right?

You don’t know how difficult it is to model with text only. For small changes, it’s fine, but for massive changes, not so much
Want to move away from cosmetic pack to make other content
Also, confirm if the main pack is installed and below the sample models, plus the texture wouldn’t be helpful for normal gameplay
Anyway, for obvious reasons, that’s not my pack, author for the mod is Cakeman and I am Cakeofcraft
Anyway, that’s only because the hotfix for the main pack is not out (which is necessary for the animations and the textures to work (and even so, it uses blockbench’s created texture so it’s not useful if you want it to be fully textured)), so you have to wait till that is out (tomorrow at least)
When that comes, it’s the first pack among the 5 of them (named cakescosmeticpack.mcpack)
