Anyways here's my experience without them.
- The quartz and netherack gold ores look like ancient scriptures
- Ores look like someone got paint and brushed it on a rock
- Sand looks like expired milk
- Most of the items look like someone grabbed a picture from the web and made it 2D
- It looks cursed
- The grass block is white where it's supposed to be brown (BUG)
- Ice is an eye sore
- Flowing lava is yellow but a lava block is a funky orange pattern
- Diamond blocks look like bathroom wall tiles
- The snow and snowy taiga biome look really cool
- Some blocks look extremely simple and flat like the grindstone, iron bar, ladder, etc. compared to intricate blocks like ender pearls, mangrove roots, coral etc.
Too uncanny valley that it looks like a .png slapped onto a cube and my sister that plays Minecraft walked in and asked what game I was playing.
