Java Mob Shading

This pack makes entities look more like Java by giving them darker directional shading, a less red hurt overlay, and removing the on fire overlay. It also fixes a few bugs with the way certain mobs render, such as Blazes and Glow Squids having no directional shading and Wolves not turning darker when going in the rain.

Changelog

V1.0.2

  • Changed the new resin armor trim colors to be darker in order to match the darker directional shading that armor has
  • Removed hurt overlay for Enderman, Spider, and Phantom eyes to match Java
  • The bottom shading of all boat types is now correct
  • Piglins, Piglin Brutes, Zombified Piglins, Hoglins, Zoglins, and Striders will now have correct top shading while in the nether (I may eventually fix this for all mobs, however that would take quite a bit of time)
  • Added a new Magma Cube texture so that their directional shading is compatible with both their new and old model
  • Cold Strider textures now match Java
  • Updated pack and minimum engine version

uhhh... i use classic textures fix by THGABS and the classic minecraft texture pack by mojang, when i use this pack, some textures are the updated ones (spider, cave spider, bed, etc.) how can i fix this?
1
I forgot about classic texture compatibility when making some of the changes for this pack, right now you would have to apply this pack below the classic textures one in order to fix that. This will cause boats and beds to have improper shading though.

I will update the pack soon with a classic textures subpack so that this issue doesn't occur. Thanks for letting me know!

oh ok, thanks pal, btw can u make a pack to fix the enchantment glint? :DD
1
I plan to make a pack eventually where you can change enchantment glint colors, so I could probably include a smoother enchantment glint like Java as a subpack for that

The concept was executed well. Thank you for this resource pack.

You're the best. Keep fixing the bad graphics in bedrock version.
1
I thought it was impossible but it is…
Anyway, I’m think of adding part of your texture pack into mine, so that it would be even more accurate than Java, are you fine with that?
1
please keep cooking & fixing bedrock's shitty graphics

can i ask permission to add the files in my pack?
1
If you don't mind me asking what are they being used for in your pack?
1
so that i wouldn't be adding multiple packs at once bc am so lazy to put multiple packs in my global texture pack
1
That would be fine then, as long as it is only in your personal version of the pack
1
so do i have my permission?

Thank you a lot! I haven't seen any mods for this and I was literaly about to use a tutorial from youtube to try to mimic it

You're welcome! Glad you enjoy the pack
