The only problem with it, is that the fishing rod doesnt actually go that far. If you could maybe add another upgrade that lets the actually line go farther, faster, that would be great. Other than that, 8/10!

There isnt much I can do, trying to increase the speed usually ends up with very buggy results. I will try to fix this.

You have to hold a fishing rod, and have beta APIs turned on.

make one where vanilla fishing rods do that and also fish

Fishing rods with the upgrade can still fish like normal, though I reccomend not using it on automatic fishing farms or shallow water.
