Bedrock Proximity Text Chat + Chat-rank

Hello! Ever wanted to have proximity chat on your server, realm or world? To have players chatting only if they are close enough one to another just like in real life? Then this addon is the solution for you! Super light, easy to setup, simple to use!

Select version for changelog:

Changelog
  • support for Minecraft Bedrock v1.20.80
  • added *addrank* form, which can be opened by `/function proximity/addrank`
  • added `$c` option for chat-rank template, which stands for the rank colour (you could use the same colour to change other parts of the message)
  • added `enable addon` option to enable/disable the addon

Yes, it only uses scripts. Note: make sure that it is installed last in pack order so to have compatibility with prefix command addons. It is not compatible with other chat-rank addons.

How do I adjust the manifest.json file to make the mod compatible with other versions? And does this also apply to other mods?

Hello, we have support for 1.20.10, 1.20.30, 1.20.50. Compatibility with other versions can be arranged by adapting the manifest.json properly.

I haven't downloaded it, but I want others to know before downloading.How will we make our voices heard in this mode, is it via discord or through another medium?

Hello there! This is a "text" proximity chat. It means that it will make chat messages readable only from players in the nearby.
We do are developing also proximity voice chat with discord (not out yet). If you want details about that you can join our discord.

Hey there! Minecraft Bedrock Edition supports addons and scripts within them. You can do awesome things with them! Most behavior packs use them nowadays.

Hey there! This addon uses official bedrock scripting API. When you send a message the pack will check what players are "close" and send the message only to them. All other players online won't receive the message.
