Indonesian Share Taxi "ANGKOT" Addon

 Angkot (Share Taxi) It was first present in Indonesia during World War II due to the scarcity of public transportation. In 1946 public transportation began to be managed by the state with DAMRI as a transportation service provider company. Then in the 1960s, the Indonesian government bought a modified Morris pick-up car to be used as public transportation which Jakartans called "oplet". In the 1970-1980s, the oplet began to be replaced by angkot or some Indonesians call it "mikrolet".  Angkot is public transportation that is almost available in all cities in Indonesia. because public transportation is in the form of a station wagon car that can accommodate many people, has a low price, and can stop anywhere we want. However, currently several angkots in big cities in Indonesia are starting to lose competition with other public transportation such as Bus rapid transit and online motorcycle taxis.
