Update v1.3 - Ancient Legends

Added:

Factions:

A new feature where players can pledge allegiance to NPC factions in the world! The Order of the Lizard and Cayas Cult are both locked in a feud, one fights for freedom and the other for world domination! You can join one of these two factions by completing their quests, then you’ll receive some exclusive benefits and access to company stores. This gives players a lot more to do after the Ender Dragon, and also provides easier access to items normally tedious to obtain.

Here’s a list of new stuff that comes with these:

  • New armor and weapon sets exclusive to each faction; Both are equal for being the most powerful
  • 2 new flags, one for each faction
  • Access to unused Minecraft blocks (Yes, really! Only as decoration, but still.)
  • The Order of the Lizard gives you access to four exclusive bosses to battle, with many more to come in future updates
  • The Cayas Cult allows you to kill players to gather their souls, which can then be sold for profit. Capitalism, amirite?
  • Quest lines for each faction with rewards for each one; Can be completed at outposts around the world
  • And more that I can’t remember because my memory is hot crap!

Items:

  • New Elemental Sword Upgrades
    • The Bonfire, Tsunami, Forest Fury, and Tornado, each a more powerful version of its previous with new and enhanced abilities, greater damage and higher durability. Obtained by placing the sword’s previous version and one Harmonic Crystal on an Elemental Table.
  • The Sword of Harmony
    • A highly powerful sword with a mix of the abilities of each of the upgraded Elemental Swords. Obtained by placing each of the Elemental Sword upgrades and four Harmonic Crystals onto an Elemental Table.
  • Crowbar
    • A weapon that plays a sound when hitting an enemy. Has stats equivalent roughly to an Iron Sword. Crafted with two iron ingots. This serves little purpose, I only added it because I wanted an excuse to reference Half-Life.
  • Broom
    • A weapon that plays a sound when interacted with. Has the damage of a wooden sword and durability of a stone sword. Crafted using a stick and some wheat. Again, serves basically no use except maybe roleplaying and trolling.
  • Fools’ Gold
    • A new mineral that appears wherever gold does. Looks very similar to normal gold, except a little more saturated and doesn’t work with external resource packs. Can be used to make armor with iron-equivalent stats. This may seem useless, but I’ll give you a tip - Remember that piglins aren’t very smart. They can’t tell the difference…
  • The Battleminer’s Set
    • A cosmetic set crafted with brown and black wool. This is a reference to something, and if you know, you know.
  • New Elemental Set Upgrades
    • The Volcano, Monsoon, Earth and Whirlwind sets, each a more powerful and stronger version of its downgraded counterpart. Obtained by placing the armor’s previous version and one Harmonic Crystal onto an Elemental Table.
  • Emote Token
    • A new currency for shopping with Emote Dealers. Can be found in certain structures (Namely Dungeons, Trial Chambers, Ancient Cities, Etc.) or crafted using an Emote Base and an Emerald.
  • Megalodon Fin
    • Dropped by the Megalodon. Can act as a trophy OR be given to a certain someone to show your allegiance…

Blocks:

  • String Lights
    • Some nice lights, tied to a string. Decorative block crafted using string and sea lanterns. Comes in other variants that can be crafted with Stained Glass.
  • Elemental Bricks
    • Fire, Water, Nature and Air of course. Each one gives status effects related to the element (Fire Resistance, Water Breathing, Regeneration and Jump Boost respectively) to anyone touching the block. Crafted using stone bricks and the respective elemental shard. Yes, I know these are expensive and OP, they’re intended as very late-game blocks.
  • Marble
    • A decorative block found in a new Volcano biome you’ll be able to hear more about soon. Can be crafted into Marble Tiles and...
  • Countertops
    • A new decorative block that can be made with Granite or Marble. Has a corner variant. Crafted with the respective block and two quartz blocks.
  • Lamp
    • A new decorative block that can be crafted using a stick, three wool and a sea lantern. Emits light, as all good lamps should.
  • Plywood
    • A new “decorative?” block crafted using four sticks. It’s a pretty ugly block, and is really only useful when you’re in a situation where you’ve only got four sticks, but need a block.
  • Ash Wood
    • Some wood that looks like it’s been torched. Only comes in a log and plank variant. Can be found in the Volcano Biome.
  • Crabgrass
    • A decorative block that can be found randomly throughout grassy parts of the world. Look and listen closely; It may seem familiar…

Mobs:

  • Cayas Cultists
    • Monsters that serve Mother Cayas in the Cayas Cult. They’re pretty powerful and can be found roaming the overworld almost anywhere. Maybe if you prove your allegiance, they won’t attack you anymore…
  • Salamander
    • New Lizard variants. These are amphibious, though they prefer the water. They take a crap ton of time to dry out, but they still can, so remember to keep 'em wet! Spawn underground in the Lush Caves. Can be tamed with anything the Lizards can be tamed with.
  • Target Dummy
    • The debug mob is now available for use in survival! Has 1000 health and takes no knockback, but is completely stagnant and will not attack anything. Can be crafted using wheat and an armor stand.

Mounts:

  • Battleship
    • The new biggest ship is in town. Seats 16 people, is completely massive, completely impractical but completely cool. Can be crafted using the normal Mount Summon recipe, but with a Galleon summoner in the middle.
  • Drill Battery
    • Remember the Tractor that only destroys crops? This destroys stone and ore. Seats two people. Can be crafted using the normal Mount Summon recipe, but with a Diamond Pickaxe in the middle.

World Features:

  • Volcano Biome
    • A new biome that replaces the Mesa Bryce. Sorry Mesa Bryce fans! There’s basalt and ash sand where your red used to be. Spawns new Ash Wood Trees, Marble Patches, Dead Bushes and is really good for basalt and blackstone because you don’t have to go to the nether for it anymore.
  • Emote Emporium
    • We all got tired of Emote Dealers spawning literally anywhere they were able, so now you’ll only find em in these hot air balloons that float above the world. They also play fun music!

Emotes:

  • The Beebo
    • Based on the dance by the character of the same name. Song is Beebo’s Theme by zKevin.
  • Colin’s Bear
    • Based on Colin’s Bear Animation. Song is Funky Monkey Dance/Open Sesame! From Mother 3.
  • Bow
    • It’s a bow. Silent emote.
  • Curtsy
    • It’s a curtsy. Silent emote.
  • baby
    • baby. Song is Kiss Me Thru The Phone by Soulja Boy.

Changes:

Items:

  • The Elemental Sets have new textures that don’t look entirely like hot garbage.

Mobs:

  • Most passive mobs will now permanently show their nametags when renamed.
  • The Demon has received a new model and animation.
  • The Megalodon has received a visual improvement and a better loot table, making it much more worthwhile to go fight (it drops actually good books now and has a chance to drop mending!!!)
  • The Emote Dealers, along with now longer spawning naturally, now use the new trade screen. This makes more sense with how emote rarities work now.

Mounts:

  • The Tank has received a complete visual overhaul, with an actual interior and new exterior texture.
  • The Jumper has received a bit of a visual overhaul.

General:

  • Changed up the crouching animation a little more.
  • The Chairs now have different models for each variant.
  • Flags are now held differently in third-person mode.
  • The following emotes have been reanimated:
    • Burned House
    • Laughable
    • Throw
  • Completely overhauled the emote system, with new code for the emotes themselves, new icons and different ways to obtain the emotes.

Removed:

April Fools’ Content:

I sincerely hope you liked my god-awful April Fools’ Update that had literally no playtesting put into it. Almost everything has been outright removed from the pack, but the following have only been vaulted, and are still obtainable/summonable with commands. Any instances of these will also remain in worlds with this version of the pack applied:

  • AlteFore’s Glasses (Only through commands)
  • Noisemaker (Only through commands)
  • Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (Only through commands)
  • Cockroach (Still obtainable through the creative menu)
  • Pandora’s Box (been in since launch, but has been re-vaulted)

Fixes:

Mobs:

  • Finally fixed a texture error where the Emote Dealer still had some blue on it from the wandering trader texture it’s based off of

Localization:

  • Updated the British localization (This includes 1.2 and remaining April Fools content)

I love this addon please but just make the spawn rate of emote dealer lower and no llamas (or give him a structure) 5 out of 5 otherwise :)
