File Naming: Double-check that you named your skin exactly as skin1.png (if that’s the name you're using), and make sure there are no extra spaces or different characters in the name.
Correct File Path: The file should be in the correct folder. Since you're using a resource pack, your file path should be something like this:
> assets > minecraft > textures > entity > skin1.png
Ensure the file is placed in the correct location under your resource pack’s folder structure.
Check Resource Pack Settings: Make sure your resource pack is enabled in the Minecraft settings (go to Options > Resource Packs).
Confirm that the resource pack is applied when you're playing. You can see if it's active by checking the resource packs screen in Minecraft.
Clear the Cache: If you've changed the skin recently, Minecraft might have cached the old one. Try restarting the game and even reloading the resource pack from the settings menu.
Try without Modifying the Default Skin: You mentioned you deleted the default skin. Sometimes, it's better to leave the default skin in place and just replace skin1 with the new skin file. Make sure skin1 is the only skin you’re trying to use in the pack.
Check for Any Modifications or Conflicts: Ensure there are no conflicting mods or settings causing issues with your skin. If you're using a mod like ReplayMod, verify that the mod isn’t interfering with skin rendering.
