if you feel the villagers are too weak and want a pure vanilla addon then this is the best choice for you. The pure vanilla addon doesn't add any new items, just adds new mobs and upgrades for vanilla illagers.

Villager Soldier Vanilla V2: Big changes:
- Added new levels of villager soldiers: elite soldiers, royal soldiers.
- Added village captain.
- Add new illagers such as: Elite Pillager, Pillager Tanker.
- Added new golem: Iron golem guard.
Minor changes:
- Increase the strength of the captains.
- Pillager Raider can control troops in small areas.
- Evoker can control troops in large areas.
- Golems can be tamed with emeralds (except snowmen).
Level up mechanism:
- Minions will +1 kill per level.
- Illagers will level up after killing soldier units of soldier level or higher.
- The illager will need more kills than the villager.
- Raid will be more difficult.

Personal Golems:
- After being tamed, golems will be the player's personal weapons.

+ Kill monsters: No red " !" on the head. In this mode, golems only kill monsters. + Murder: There is a red " !" on the head. In this mechanism will add the target is the player except the owner.
- Change mode by right clicking/overriding on bamboo turret and iron golem. Need to sit and right click/press on the iron golem guard.

New:
- Added copper golem: not same as Minecraft vote but it is copper golem Maybe I don't have the same features as Mojang introduced, but it can fight monsters.
- Added shooter turret: that is a dispenser can auto shoot with copper golem.
- Added Minecart Shooter: that is a minecart with dispenser are controlled by copper golem.
- Added copper watcher: that is a turret but player can give them bow, crossbow, copper boom, helmet and chestplate.

My Son and me laved your previous Versions and i am glad to see you are still in progress and on Badrock Adition.
We have two Questions:
1.) Can you add or reintegrate a stationary Balista/Crossbow outomatically fireing at hostiles an Creatures? The Balista/Crosbow was so well fitting to ancient Fortresses, towars etc. Or do i mix another Addon up here?
2. Could you add something like a sentry Villager/Illager that stays at the Position you spawn Him. SO they are kind of Decoration at Gates and certain important Doors and just engaging in a very very small Areaat round the spawn Position? A Guard/Sentry like at a Palace door or at the Throne of the King or else.
